Hip-Hop | Spadez x SeanZy – All I Wanna Do Is Party
Posted by GMONEY on December 27, 2011
Dayyyum, there’s really no two ways about this people, this track is infectious. All I Wanna Do Is Party is the whole package… from the addictive melodic beat, to the laid back lyrics, to the chorus that quickly harkens back summer in the dead of winter. Spadez, enlisted the help of former band member SeanZy to hop on the track, and put together some dope “feel good” visuals to go along with it. If you are digging the track, make sure to grab the whole mixtape below as well.

Posted by GMONEY on December 27, 2011
In preparation for the Fresh New Tracks sponsored mashup extravaganza at Webster Hall on January 10th, we would like to introduce you to cast who will be taking over your eardrums. First up Doug Bogan, a rising star in the college mashup scene. Being a sucker for all things Kaskade, his latest mashup, Raining California Girls, really hit home for me. The combination of Raining with California Girls, We Found Love, and a sprinkle of Bruno Mars is nothing short of epic. So check out his tracks, grab your ticket here, and stay tuned for more.
UPDATE: After reaching 600 “likes” when this post was publish, Doug Bogan just released this new banger as a ‘Thank You’

Videos | Ryan Leslie- Good Girl
Posted by GMONEY on December 26, 2011
Just a few months ago, a behind-the-scenes production leaked of Kanye West and Jay-Z’s creative process while making, “Watch The Throne.” in Wiltshire, England. While others were watching Kanye and Jay’s every move, I was looking at the other players in the room. Among them were Russell Crow, Beyonce, and Young Guru. Interestingly enough, however, I spotted Ryan Leslie in the video as well.
Last week, Ryan Leslie sat down with AllHipHop.com, and said that while in England, he had the opportunity to sit in on the “Watch The Throne” sessions and was heavily inspired by what he saw. It’s no surprise now, that Ryan is making this kind of music. He has struggled to find his own lane as an artist for years now. The quality of his production, however, has never been in question. Last night, he dropped the third of ten video that will make up the “Les Is More” visual album. It’s a champagne-laden track that has shades of Drake and Kanye West in it. The gold jewelry, black aristocracy lines, the whole nine.
The video was not received well by his fans, and in typical Ryan Leslie fashion, he issued a detailed response to those who had negative things to say about the video in question. I’m on the fence. I think it’s good that Ryan Leslie is getting edgier. He needs to evolve. If he doesn’t, he risks no longer being relevant. I can’t make up my mind on this one, so I’d like you to make it up for me. Leave me your thoughts in the comment section below. Should Ryan Leslie continue in this lane, or should he go back to his old neo-soul-I-made-a-perfect-SAT-grade-and-went-to-harvard image?
Mashups | DJ Earworm – United State of Pop 2011 (World Go Boom)
Posted by GMONEY on December 25, 2011
DJ Earworm is back with his 2011 rendition of his world renown United State of Pop series of mashups. Personally, this particular version isn’t really my favorite (mine is 2009) but it just wouldn’t feel right to let the year close out without an Earworm post. So here you go, sound off with what you think of it.
