Hip-Hop | A-Trak – Piss Test (ft. Juicy J & Danny Brown)
Posted by dshaq on March 27, 2012
Before I say anything, DOWNLOAD THIS SONG NOW! PAY THE .99 CENTS AND SUPPORT GOOD MUSIC! The man A-Trak recruits Taylor Gang’s Juicy J and label mate, Danny Brown, for this beautiful rap song. A-Trak makes sweet sweet love to this beat combining some bass heavy synths and great drums which really accentuate Juicy and Danny’s verses. I’ve really been digging Juicy lately, especially with his verses on Taylor Alderddice and Macadelic, but he goes in on this one and well, anything Danny Brown is on he kills. This is one of the best songs I’ve heard in a long long time, totally serious. Hit the comments up to tell us your thoughts about this track.
Hip-Hop | Double Vision Music Marathon pt. 1 – Clock Town
Posted by dshaq on March 26, 2012
I present to you the music of Double Vision. These two Boston Boys are doing a mini EP each week to symbolize the four different legs of the Boston Marathon. Today’s is the first one: Clock Town. After hearing this EP, I got to say I’m quite impressed. 2xV brings it on tracks which some display their hip hop side and others more of their pop side. Check this one out and look back for next Monday’s release!
Videos | Nardwuar vs. Machine Gun Kelly
Posted by dshaq on March 26, 2012
Nardwuar is putting on for Vancouver. This interview was one of the more entertaining ones with MGK switching it up on the gift master himself. Of course Nardwuar brings out his knowledge, which leaves Kells dumbfounded. I’m very interested to see if Nardwuar has any more interviews. Is there anyone else to interview? It sure seems like there isn’t. Machine Gun Kelly just released his new EP, Half Naked & Almost Famous, which you can purchase HERE. Look back for more mind blowing interviews but also more music from Kells. Doot Doo!
Hip-Hop | Danny Brown vs. Nardwuar (Interview)
Posted by dshaq on March 22, 2012
Danny Brown’s originality and uniqueness get me every time. Danny has been killing it lately though, with countless features in notable magazines, getting interviewed on Carson Daly and by who else than Nardwuar, and playing SXSW. Danny gives us a brand new song with some raw emotion throughout it. Then on the other hand goes and does one phenomenally hysterical interview with the one and only Nardwuar. Scoop the track and watch the interview. Look for more Danny to come.
Hip-Hop | Lil B – Realest B***h Alive (Video)
Posted by dshaq on March 22, 2012
Based God, we are not worthy of your infinite wisdom and guidance. Oh Based Lord, lead us not into temptation but into eternal life. We are unworthy of your swag. Show us the light. We are living in darkness! Lead us! Blessed based redeemer shower us with swag for we know not what we do. Show us the righteous path. We are foul ignorant despicable creatures that need your based guidance. We want to live according to your rare word. In your blessed based name we pray, ahmen.
Hip-Hop | What’s In DShaq’s Tapedeck?
Posted by dshaq on March 21, 2012
Let me begin this soon to be legendary post, by saying that these are completely my opinions and if you disagree with these views in any way, you should see your way to the comments section. As we move on I’m going to guide you through my favorite up and comers who you should, and if you don’t, NEED to, have on your iPod/iPhone/any other mp3 device. Let’s begin shall we?
1. Action Bronson
I continue to listen to Blue Chips everyday because I’m still amazed by it. What Action did with NY native, Party Supplies, on that tape was magic, and easily is one of the top mixtapes of 2012. Chef Bronson has such a smooth, easy-to-listen-to flow that keeps us coming back for more. Bronson’s word play is really the focal point of his silky smooth flow. His imagery followed by his witty one liners keep you focused throughout the whole song. If you have yet to download the mixtape or even listen to the man that is Action Bronson, do it now!
2. Logic
Young Sinatra, Logic’s alter ego, has become one of my favorite up and comers with his ability to stay true to him. His beats are so refreshing and such a break from normal samples, it seems as if he can rap over anything. Logic is gonna be huge, no doubt in my mind. Grab his latest mixtape, Young Sinatra, and look for his upcoming mixtape, Undeniable, to come out soon.
Hip-Hop | Chief Keef – Rollin (Prod. Young Chop)
Posted by dshaq on March 21, 2012

Dang. I guess his house arrest is not so bad after all. Just under a week after his mixtape, Chief Keef graces us with some brand new material. Tight beat on this one, which obviously Sosa kills. Look back later because this is off Sosa Soulja with Soulja Boy, so the full track most likely has Soulja Boy himself on it. Hit up Sosa on Twitter and Facebook.
If you’re confused as to what the first line is all about, then I’ll let this clear it up for you.
