House | Curbi – Discharge
Posted by Juicebox on February 25, 2015
Believe it or not, Curbi is a 16-year-old producer who was recently signed to one of dance music’s most recognizable labels, Spinnin’ Records. After spending years making tracks and working on his production skills, the England native drew the attention of future house maestro, Oliver Heldens, who promptly premiered Curbi’s debut release, “Discharge,” on his Heldeep Radio podcast. “Discharge” has all of the elements of a great future house release – bone-rattling bass lines, deep melodies, and synth quivers. Check out the track above, and keep an eye out for the release in March.

House | Disciples – They Don’t Know (Sirus Hood Remix)
Posted by Juicebox on February 17, 2015
UK-based production trio, Disciples, has firmly thrived in the London underground scene as a member of Pete Tong’s revered FFRR label. Armed with strong production skills, the talented trio has seen massive success with their particular style, and their latest release, “They Don’t Know,” is no different. Reminiscent of an old-school, 80s New York approach, the Disciples’ original track is a groovy deep house offering, but mysterious French producer, Sirus Hood, has stepped up to the plate with his own remix of the track. Hood has taken “They Don’t Know” from it’s deep roots to a banging G-House-esque track that completely flips the original on its head. Check out the track above.
Tropical House | Sam Smith Crushes The Grammys and Goes Tropical
Posted by Juicebox on February 12, 2015
Sam Smith cleaned up this year at the Grammys…and it was well deserved. We were expecting at least a small shoutout to Disclosure after Sam Smith won his FOURTH Grammy of the night, but Sam Smith unfortunately didn’t show the electronic world any love. Regardless, LA producer Justin Caruso just delivered a tropical house remix that is so good, you would have thought it was Kygo. Let Justin Caruso take you back to summer with Sam Smith’s beautiful vocals and tropical infused beat.
Chill, Deep House, House | OMI – Cheerleader (Felix Jaehn Remix)
Posted by Juicebox on February 10, 2015
No matter how you outwardly express your opinion towards the genre, everybody loves tropical house. It is just saturated in feel-good vibes that transport you to any beach in the world right from your living room. Felix Jaehn hopped aboard the tropical train during its humble beginnings and has risen to the top in only a matter of a year. Last May, he remixed reggae singer, OMI’s, “Cheerleader” and took over global charts in a matter of weeks. The remix hit #1 in Australia, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands and Sweden along with topping the iTunes, Spotify, and Shazam charts in many others. Check out the revitalized remix above.
Deep House, House | EDX – Remember House
Posted by Juicebox on February 9, 2015
2014 was a transient year for EDX, as we saw a shift in his production style from up-beat, melodic progressive house to a deeper, groovier sound. Works like “Breathin’” and his remix of Nora En Pure’s collaboration with Sons of Maria, “Uruguay,” were all huge hits, and that remix has been #2 on Beatport’s Deep House chart for more than a week now.
As 2015 is getting going, EDX continues his run of deep house releases, as seen in the preview of his forthcoming track, “Remember House.” The track is a departure from the progressive house genre that EDX has already conquered, rather it is a deep house smash, characterized by an archetypal house rhythm, an old-school vocal hook of “Do You Remember House,” and a melodic riff that lulls listeners into a deep groove. Preview the track here, and stay tuned for the released on March 2nd on Beatport.
