The third iteration of Mysteryland USA is right around the corner, and as we count down the days until June 10th, there’s a lot to plan, and even more to listen to. The ID&T-produced festival has already unveiled two phases of its stand-out lineup, and this year promises to be the biggest and best edition of the festival in America to date. Over the course of two days, nearly 100 artists will call Bethel Woods home, from headliners like ODESZA, Skrillex, and Bassnectar, to stellar undercard offerings like Gesaffelstein, Claude VonStroke, REZZ, amongst others, spread across six stages of bumping music. With so many can’t-miss artists to see, and even more activities to do at the festival, it’s tough to decide which artists take priority, and which ones will fall by the wayside, and schedule conflicts only serve as yet another source of anxiety before the festival.
In a new editorial series leading up to this year’s Mysteryland USA, we’re spotlighting an artist on the lineup that we consider can’t-miss for the weekend. Whether its because of a phenomenal live show, a brand new album, or stellar DJing skills, we hope that this spotlight series will help you wade through some of teh schedule conflicts easier. You can get your tickets to Mysteryland here.
This week’s Mysteryland USA spotlight is the masked man, Claptone.
House | Enjoy KOLAJ’s New Single, “The Touch”
Posted by Juicebox on April 8, 2016
Duos often work best when one person’s skills complement the other’s, and this is precisely the case when it comes to KOLAJ. Teesa Houston, a singer/songwriter, and producer Mike McGarity seem to be a perfect match as their individual skills combine to form a cohesive unit that packs a powerful, emotional punch. The Los Angeles-based duo just surfaced late last year, but they’ve accumulated millions of plays online across some originals, covers, and even a feature on Kaskade’s “Whatever.” Now they’re back with their original, “The Touch,” and they’re continuing to make waves with their irresistible house sound. Have a listen on Spotify and buy it on iTunes.

Switching it up a bit here, we’re turning the dial back with a mix that screams take me back to the 3 day weekend. The boys of summer have teamed up with Aquarium Drunkard radio show to bring you 2 hours of vintage soul, funk and r&b, easing you back into the work week with Vol. 46 of the Fixtape Series.
“Somewhere deep inside the following two-hour soul mix for Sole, Chuck Carbo asks “Can I Be Your Squeeze?”. With Valentine’s day falling this weekend it’s a fair question. But regardless of how amorous you’re feeling, the funk, to quote George Clinton, is its own reward.”
