From his partnership with Sendspace, to his “My Awesome Mixtape 3” being featured on Hulkshare, Clinton Sparks has been lighting the internet on fire as of late. Clinton continues his domination by releasing a video for “Let’s Drive,” a bootleg of Poter Robinson’s hit record “Language,” which tells the story of two young teens expecting a child in the coming months. Despite the social stigma and lack of support from their parents, they stick together, running of into a sunset filled with awesome. Stay tuned for Clinton’s debut single, “Watch You” featuring Pitbull coming soon!
Pop, Videos | SoMo – “Kings & Queens (Throw It Up)
Posted by A on July 25, 2012
Just under a year ago, I received a submission as I always receive submissions, through a mutual friend. That mutual friend told me, “Listen A, I’ve got this friend that’s extremely talented. You’ve got to listen to him.” Although I’ve heard that story many times before, I begrudgingly gave him my e-mail address and told him to have his friend send it over when he had a chance.
When I received the submission, I wasn’t all that impressed. I replied back, thanked him for taking the time to personally e-mail it me, and told him to keep up the good work. Three months go by, and a certain “Drake Medley” is going viral across the interwebs by a local Dallas artist. His name was Joseph Somo, the same artist I previously turned down just months before, had become a certified viral sensation.
SoMO has come a long ways from recording covers in his bedroom, taking it to a new level with his Jeremy Brookover directed video for “Throw It Up,” an infectious Friday night anthem for those looking to cut loose and throw caution to the wind. Even Mannie Fresh couldn’t help himself, joining SoMo in the video as they fist pump into the wee-hours of the morning.
If SoMo’s music can make the most cynical of bloggers (I’d be lucky if he even responded to my e-mails now) turn full fledged fan, I know SoMo can make a believer out of you as well. Download SoMo’s “Throw It Up single for free below and get ready his highly anticipated currently untitled debut mixtape coming soon! Throw it up!

“How you gonna to hypnotize fame? Five-star face with the wonder woman chain.”
Viral video meme, Jody Highroller, blesses the masses once again with a new Orbit Did It directed video that’s perhaps one of his shortest videos of all time. Regardless of the length, the video packs a punch, featuring Jody rapping one minute into the video with a veracity of a V12 candy painted Versace Bentley. Jody’s “Neon Vibes” is coming soon. RAP GAME MIDNIGHT SAPPHIRE FLOURESCENT FLOURISHINGS.

Videos | Behind The Scenes: Tum Tum’s “Yeah Doe” Video
Posted by A on July 12, 2012
Let’s get something straight. I’m a Dallas guy. I grew up on Big Tuck and Tum Tum. They’re nothing short of legends in the city, and it’s good to see them making music together. Although I couldn’t make the video shoot (I’m sorry Bric!) the good folks at HULK ENT were kind enough to release a behind the scenes look into the highly anticipated video featuring B-Hamp, Dorrough, and a few lady friends. Although Big Tuck wasn’t on the original track, it seems we may just be getting a classic verse from the purple hulk. Could this be the record that unifies Dallas and puts the ball back in our court? I say, Yeah Doe!
