Wekeed is as they say, a wild union of a girl and a boy brought together by life in Paris, France. Subsiding the snow with feelings of summer, ”Essential” has a nice mixture of indie, sprinkled with a touch of house.

Hip-Hop | J. Cole – 2012 (Prod. by J. Cole)

Posted by on December 21, 2012

Cole weighs in with his 2 cents on the Mayan calendar (even though CNN is claiming the living Mayans don’t believe we’re all going to die after all).  Lil Cole was on his Mr. Cleo shit back in ’08 when he recorded this gem, sitting, plotting for this exact day.  Here’s what he had to say on his blog about the track;

If the world ends tomorrow, damn. I would be mad as shit for 2 reasons. First, I’m not with my family. That would suck.
What would also be wack is if I never got to drop this song.

Summer of 08?. Mark Pitts meeting had happened a month ago. He said he fucks with me, but he not talking about signing me. Ok. Fuck that. I’ma make my new shit so stupid that the next time he meet with me he gonna HAVE to sign me. Same summer I made Grown Simba and started The Warm Up with a “fuck it” mentality. A few special songs I made that summer haven’t dropped yet. This is one of them.

2012

Some of the most fun I ever had making a record. Alone in my room, making the beat, writing the raps, Jammin to this.
Here we are, Years Later, and right on time. Enjoy

– oh yea. Shout to the spanish nigga that came through and played the percussions. To the cool ass horn player that laced me, I forgot his name. This was my first Quincy Jones moment. Shout to Lil Cole. Shout to Aristotle. Shout to YOU.

Electro-House | Adele – Rolling In The Deep (Chrizz Luvly Remix)

Posted by on November 18, 2012

Chrizz Luvly is a little late to the game remixing this song. Honestly though, looking past the overused vocals you hear an epic Electro-House instrumental. He probably should have just stuck with the instrumental, but I do see how the vocals play a key role to this dancing jam.

Albums | Mike Stud – Critic (Prod. Brody Brown)

Posted by on February 13, 2012

After making a music video to just about every song off his Toast To Tommy mixtape, the homie Mike Stud is back with a new joint for those of you that have been feenin’ for some fresh material. The track itself is an ode to his doubters and non-believers, where he reflects on his recent accomplishments  which have a lot of people with their foot in their mouths. The video above is just a little something to hold you over till the official video drops (which you can expect in the near future). Also keep a heads up for a track from Mike and French Montana …yea, I said French Montana

Hip-Hop | Machine Gun Kelly ft. Waka Flocka

It looks like MGK is taking shots from other artists before hes even gets to the mainstage yet. Why Cudi would go after the up-and-comer is beyond me. Judging by the video above and this article, it seems like Cudi is mad at MGK for using the term raging”… yea if that is not a dumb reason to get pissed off than I don’t know what is. You’d figure that both Cleveland natives would find it beneficial to be friends and make a track together. After all MGK could use the publicity and Cudi could use the opportunity for a comeback. Regardless, below is a HIGH ENERGY track from MGK with a feature from FLOCKAAAA.

Electro, Girl Fire, Mainstream Remix | Britney Spears, Nicki Minaj & Ke$ha | GIRL FIRE

Posted by on April 23, 2011

“Till the World Ends” has been remixed like no other. And yea, I know you’re sick of hearing the song. However, when someone like Miss Minaj (the new Queen of Rap/Pop?) teams up with the former Queen of Pop (Britney Spears), the track deserves some recognition.

These two female giants are, apparently, on tour together. It makes sense, then, that Minaj was chosen to jump on the remix. Ke$ha (who I have an undying hatred for) was unfortunately also brought into the track. Homegirl attempts to cover up her subpar looks with glitter and obnoxious song lyrics (always a fail).

REGARDLESS, this track is fire. Nicki’s opening verse gives this song just the kick it needed.
