Hip-Hop | Logic – Like Me ft. Casey Veggies

Posted by on December 3, 2013

Logic has been fairly quiet since he hopped off tour with Cudi, Big Sean, and Tyler the Creator, dropping a loose track here and there, but for the most part, remaining relatively quiet.  Well evidently along with writing and recording, Logic has been toning his production game as is evident on his newest release, “Like Me”.  We’ve heard one Logic-produced track in the past, “Common Logic/Midnight Marauder ” which was co-produced by C-Sick and had a feeling more tracks were on the horizon, but this, in my opinion, is a big step forward for Logic.  As Logic teased a few weeks ago, him and Casey Veggies were in the studio together, which amounted to this cold, raw new new from the two rising youngsters.

With rumors of the debut album on the way, I’m sure we’ll get a few more loose freebies before that time comes.  In the meantime, keep an ear our for a Logic assisted Jon Bellion record coming with Jon’s album release, 12/10.

Mike Stud just got off his Relief Tour, which followed the release of his debut album. After selling out a majority of the stops, he’s now back in the studio and gives us this brand new installment of #SundayStudDay. Produced by Lu Balz, Mike remixes “Gas Pedal” by Sage the Gemini. The great thing about Mike Stud is that he’s not afraid to take risks and have fun with his music. What’s even better is the fans accept it, check the numbers they don’t lie.

Pop, Videos | Jon Bellion – The Making Of ‘One More Time’

Posted by on November 5, 2013

[do action=”youtube” videoid=”eQvz4Sjm9xs”/]

Jon Bellion’s creative process begins hours, day, weeks, maybe even months before he opens the doors and enters the studio.  It begins as a concept and once Jon enters his element, the creative thoughts and sounds stack like Lego’s.  Drums, one of a kind sounds Jon lets loose on the spot, & whatever other tricks he has up his sleeve on that given day – they all fill into each record.  For those of you that saw & heard “One More Time” when Jon released it a few weeks back know the seductive story that inspired it all.  What daddy don’t know, doesn’t hurt daddy, right?  If you missed it or you want to watch it one more time, you can do so here.

Album due out before we hit 2014! Hit the break and see if you can find Bellion’s name in the MMLP2 album insert!

Hip-Hop | Logic – Two Kings ft. King Chip

Logic-Two-Kings-King-Chip-artwork

Amidst his 23 tour, performing along with Tyler the Creator, Big Sean, and Kid Cudi, XXL Freshman, Logic, lets loose a newly cut record for the fans.  Based on the feature, my guess is that Logic hit the studio with Cudi’s right hand man, King Chip before hitting the road.  Chip has a few years under his belt, while Logic is still new to many faces, but the two lesser known faces lace together a track, worthy of such a title.  Produced by C-Sick, “Two Kings” is everything from machine gun raps, to hidden metaphors, to a deep & direct hook, and a confident self preserving guest feature from Cleveland’s own, King Chip.

If you’re interested in catching Logic, Sean, Tyler, & Cudi live, check the schedule and grab tickets for a city near you.

Chill, Hip-Hop | Radical Something – Spraypaint (Video)

Posted by on August 22, 2013

Gearing up for what is arguably the biggest release of their career, Radical Something continues on a streak of great music releases. Just mere weeks away from the Ride It Out album premiere, one can only imagine how excited Loggy, Josh and Big Red are. The album is a result of months and months locked away in the studio, and surely anticipation from RadSo and their fans is at its tipping point.

If “Spraypaint” is a taste of the music we can expect on Ride It Out, I cannot wait to get my copy of the album on September 2nd. Light-hearted and fun, “Spraypaint” brings about a positive vibe and deeper underlying message about spreading the love.

So, spread the love and pre-order Radical Something’s album here! And be sure to catch them on their almost-two month tour in a city near you!

Trap | Ying Yang Twins – Make It Jump (D!RTY AUD!O Remix)

D!RTY AUD!O is back with another free release for you guys, this time coming as an official remix for Ying Yang Twins. Surprisingly I haven’t become too tired of trap yet and it’s finally becoming better in quality with its high demand. This track has some unique features that separate it from the rest in my opinion. The little growlish sounds in the beginning was a unique taste I hadn’t seen before in trap, along with addicting and bouncy melody. It seems as though D!RTY AUD!O has been grinding it out consistently in the studio lately so be prepared for some more releases coming from him soon.

FYI | Your Favorite DJs Before They Made It Big

Tiesto, Armin & Ferry

You have seen posts before by other blogs with pictures of DJs when they were little kids or even teenagers. That is cute and all, but here we want to show you when they were looking like goons, in that phase of their professional life they would probably rather forget, when they were young and reckless and not always ready for the camera. Some of them do look like they were born for the camera (see Fatboy Slim, Pete Tong & Carl Cox), but others: oh boy, let’s have some fun on this special Throwback Thursday. Before you move on, please bask in how goonish Tiesto, Armin and Ferry look in that picture. Armin had his law degree at that point. Imagine being represented in court by him; unreal.
