Dylan Joshua has returned with a new relationship influenced single entitled “can’t stay.” Not one to be penned into strict genres of hip-hop or RnB, Dylan’s art could be defined at V&B – vibes and blues. The track creates the perfect balance of cool and dreamy vibes that maintains a spellbinding stream of consciousness that is effortlessly and melodically performed. “can’t stay is the honest truth of me realizing the ending of a relationship and my thoughts on it. A lot of the music I make I just make for myself, I don’t write with the intention to put it out, so with my music, listeners are really just getting the true stream of thought of what I’m dealing with. Hopefully it opens up conversations for people to talk more about the issues they’re going through, unlike I did. I know for me personally, especially when things aren’t working out in a relationship it takes a toll because it’s like fighting a secret war. You don’t wanna show anyone there’s trouble in paradise so you kind of bottle it up. Thankfully I have music as an outlet but to the people out there who don’t it’s definitely a struggle I empathize with. It can be very draining”

Self titled ’empathy pop’ band HOAX released a new indie-alternative rock single called “Could” and it’s the first piece of music from the group in over a year. Quite an exciting for the rising act as this is the first single off their debut album, b? “Could” is one of the catchiest rock songs I’ve heard in a while, and it is so warm. HOAX’s project, b?, took two years to create and follows the narratives of 13 different characters that have been thrown together in the aftermath of an otherworldly series of events. Last year, I paid a visit to Kingdom in Austin, TX. Anna Lunoe was headlining her Hyper House tour, and I discovered her music a week before via DJ Mag’s live stream of her tasteful set at CRSSD in San Diego. Although I suspected it was another carefully crafted female DJ gimmick cash grab, I thought I’d give the show a shot. I wasn’t disappointed. In fact, I was blown away. The mixing that night was on point, and every song translated in the storied Austin venue that night. I left with my ears (partially blown out) and a new appreciation for Anna Lunoe’s DJ acumen and her music.
Ever since, I’ve kept an eye out for the Australian DJ, vocalist, songwriter and producer, peeping her sets on 1001Tracklists.com leading up to the release of her brand new “Radioactive” single that’s nothing short of a massive tune. She’s been teasing it for months and it’s finally here courtesy of OWSLA. It’s already getting love from the likes of Major Lazer, TroyBoi, and Zane Lowe. Well deserved, as we’ll have this tune on repeat all weekend long.
