It’s not often that I’ll post a song that came out over two days ago, but this one is worth it. “Please Don’t Hurt Yourself” by Diversa under the collective Hegemon is stunning. The emotional intensity of this song is obvious, and beautifully demonstrated. I have a soft spot for songs with well written, unique piano sections, and this track has them throughout. Chords ring over rocking synths and gentle percussion and take away the listener’s mind. Grab it for free!

Ethan of Live City told me I could just write “It’s great, download it now” for a post, but I have a bit higher standards then that. Continuing their trend of indie remixes, Live City release their officially sanctioned remix for Magic Man “Out Of Mind” for free 99. They keep much of the original feel, notably the vocals, but add a cheery melody and poignant piano to the tune. As previously stated, it is free so grab it below.

I told you the story of Ansolo and FNT in my last post so it is incredible to see him with his mentor Tom Staar releasing a tune on one of the most prestigious dance labels around, Size Records. We have seen a return to the bounce in dance music, not just what Melbourne has been doing for quite some time that is making waves across the world, but also groovier bass lines finding their way back into big time dance music. This tune has it all with an irresistible low end and a surprisingly soothing melody all wrapped up with strong tribal influences. Rook Milo’s camp just sent over the first single “Bodyroll” off his upcoming EP, released via MMVIII , sampling the sexy Rihanna, and this is one you can smoke to, get laid to, pretty much do anything trill to, shit have your girl strip for you to this tune, and excuse my bravado on this post, but it’s hard to not feel like a G when you’re bumping this tune. I’ll make this quick, because no reason. TEFlo, a Norwegian producer remixed Sam Smith’s “Stay With Me” wonderfully. The tempo has been upped a tad and the addition of a bright lead takes this track to another level.
