Whenever meeting an artist for the first time, you never know what you’re going to get. You go into with a certain trepidation and understanding that these artists could be a giant twat. It’s often hard to reconcile that idea, because it’s hard to separate the man from the music. So many times you’ll find that your favorite producer or artist makes great music, but isn’t the best person to be around.

Progressive House | Axwell, Ingrosso – We Come, We Rave, We Love

Axwell, Ingrosso – We Come, We Rave, We Love

“We Come, We Rave, We Love” was played aplenty during SHM’s One Last Tour but since the trio disbanded, and then two of them got back together, we haven’t heard much about the release, aside from the fact that there wouldn’t be one. Amy Thomson, the manager of Axwell, Seb and Steve said that we would only ever have the live edit. We had all given up hope for a proper release, which just made what we have this morning even more of a surprise. Not only is the song finally out, but it is also available for free. For those of  you who have somehow yet to hear it, it is more closely related to “Greyhound” than any of their commercial stuff and it is awesome. It appears as though Axwell and Seb are going ahead as a duo and that should excite all of you. Now all we need is some new solo stuff from Seb, it’s only been five years…

Girl Fire | LARCY – Locked Up

Posted by on February 15, 2014

When super manager Stefan Jobe sends me new music, I know it’s going to be something serious. Dubbed “the next face of vocal EDM”, Larcy continue to impress with her second Prince Fox produced release. If this is any indicator of Larcy’s trajectory, I’d say she’s an artist to keep an eye on. Watch the video above and grab the free download below. “Locked Up” will sweep you off your feet.

After releasing a handful of free mixtapes and too many singles to count, Huey Mack’s debut album Pretending Perfection is now on iTunes. Over the course of the past 7 months he has been putting in everything he has into creating this project. There is no doubt he has grown as an artist since the days of Bright Lights And Long Nights and Freshman 15. Just look at the constant growing number of fans. The great thing is he has done it all without the help of a label, tour manager or booking agent. Just him and the fans who love what he does. Electro-House | Avicii – You Make Me (Landis Bootleg)

Avicii - You Make Me (Landis Bootleg)
I can’t wait for Avicii’s album. I really can’t. I was kind of down on him for a little while because he wouldn’t release any of his most touted stuff and his live show wasn’t really moving forward (besides standing on his manager’s head). Now things have shifted dramatically, and his new material is going to be a game changer. The second single from the album, “You Make Me”, fits in the context of the album, but on its own is a little whimsical at points and needed a remix. Landis does just that, injecting it with strong shot of electro, to give the track the energy it needed for a more outgoing setting. It’s free, so do not hesitate to grab this one from the rising American producer.

Chill, Electro, Electronic, Mainstream Remix | Duncan Sheik – Shout (Tears for Fears Cover – Chi Duly Remix) ft. Rachael Yamagata

Posted by on November 14, 2012

The remix master, Chi Duly, drops his latest killer masterpiece on us. After Duncan Sheik released the debut track off his album, his manager reached out to the remix god Chi Duly to put his own spin on it. Shout became the first single and it’s currently making radio rounds on the adult contemporary circuit. I don’t quite know how involved I am in the “Adult Contemporary Circuit” but what I can tell you is that this track is extremely pleasing to the ear and is something you’ll want to have in your iTunes. Give it a listen below and buy it on iTunes here.

Hip-Hop | Trey Palms – City Lights

An artist I haven’t kept up with recently, Trey Palms, drops off a 5 minute track for our listening pleasure. His manager informed me that Fresh New Tracks was the reason Trey gained hype in the first place, so I found it fitting that we would be posting this track to help his trek to stardom. Trey showcases a few dope verses over an interesting upbeat instrumental with a sample from Aeroplanes. My favorite part is the chorus, and after Trey switches up his flow to show off some versatility. Grab the track below for free courtesy of Trey’s camp.
