Dubstep | R Rated #14

Being one of the most epically filthy R Rated posts that Sev and I have assembled, it called for a picture that says we mean business. The first track to start off is an insane remix of Antidote, this is how dirty the original should have been.

DOWNLOAD: Swedish House Mafia v Knife Party – Antidote (Catalyst’s Found The Cure Dubstep Remix)

This track is a very deep dubstep track. Bitstrap is an artist I am not too familiar with, but if the rest of his tracks are smooth and heavy like this he’s ok in my book.

DOWNLOAD: Bitstrap – False Prophet

Flinch has been on projects with big names such as Skrillex and 12th Planet. This new remix of his definitely sets a high standard for heavy vocal tracks.

DOWNLOAD: Ming – Go All Night (Flinch Remix)

Sirkit made one funky sounding drumstep original. It makes me think of goofy old videogames from Sega Genesis, except Sonic wasn’t trying to make your ears bleed.

DOWNLOAD: Sirkit – Shake ‘n Bake

I was slightly confused when I was first listening to this. The track obviously starts out with Katy Perry vocal sampling, so naturally I expected some continuation once the track dropped. I love being wrong.

Had to save the best for last. Sev introduced me to this insane track just the other day. The drop is just jam packed of crazy, filthy goodness.

Electro, Mashups | Aylen – The ReMixtape

After dropping banger after banger on us over the course of 2011, Aylen is starting off 2012 right, with a massive mixtape. Here is what he had to say about it:

The end of 2011 was a very exciting time for me and I’m eager to bring in 2012 the same way I left off. Today, I’m proud to announce the release of my free remix album titled The ReMixtape. At 11 tracks, The ReMixtape includes 7 remixes, 3 mashups and 1 re-fix that span electro, progressive, moombahton, with a hint of dutch.

Here are a few of my favorite tracks, but the whole project is definitely worth a listen.

Hip-Hop, Pop | Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry ft. B.o.B.

Nicki let’s the dog out of the cage on her newest single off her sophomore album, Roman Reloaded, set for a February 14th release.  Amidst switching lanes between her multiple alter ego’s, she practices what has become her signature strung out sound, recycling her “…ouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuld” as she first quoted in Big Sean’s “A$$” Remix.  The album is already shaping up to be as good as the first with rumored features from Wayne, Mary J. Blige, Birdman, Ricky Martin, Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, Miley Cyrus and Britney Spears.

P.S. Nicki Minaj definitely takes the cake for dirtiest lines of 2011.  Despite that, will we see her performing alongside Madonna at the Superbowl next year?  Listen for a short line that might suggest just that.

Katy Perry has seen unprecedented success since the release of her second studio album, Teenage Dream, garnering 5 record breaking singles while she now aims for a sixth with Bobby Ray.  B.o.B. takes us off the blocks and caps off the end of the track with another short verse.  If I had to guess, I’d say this track hits Top 40 on the radio charts as well.

According to her bio, Tori Blake taught herself to play guitar at age 12 and has been practicing and perfecting her art ever since. Well it seems that this ridged work ethic is starting to pay off for this Orange County native..these tracks have some serious pop vocals that kind of remind me of Katy Perry. Electro | Duck Sauce – Goody Two Shoes (Viceroy Edit)

I’ll tell you one thing, you’ll never catch me being a Goody Two Shoes while this Viceroy remix on deck. Sure a typical house remix will make you dirty dance in a club, but this re-tune seems to posses a little something extra that’ll make you do a summertime shuffle mid-day. Perhaps this power comes from the funky French flare that Viceroy seamlessly combines with this electro track as it fades in and out of Duck Sauces said vocals. This isn’t your standard remix, but that’s a good thing… Be sure to stay on top of Viceroy’s promising career by hitting up his Facebook, soundcloud, and Twitter. But seriously, go like his FACEBOOK PAGE!

For good measure I’ve thrown in his other funky fresh remixes. And to guarantee that I lose all credibility on FNT I’ll let you in on a little secret, Last Friday Night might be my favorite track of the summer. Makes me want to drink every time it comes on. So yes, this atypical remix to Katy Perry’s his was a welcomed addition to the BIGLIFE iTunes library.
