Los Angeles based producer Jeff Sontag flexes his production and composition muscles on us along with his vocal strings to release his Continuous Journey Mix for his 4.22 EP which sounds more like a movie with nothing but sound more than anything. Straight ambient, and poppy, Jeff paints a dark musical motion picture with underground bass sounds and light rhythms to carry you through the journey. Progressive House | The Two Friends ft. Jeff Sontag & I Am Lightyear – Brighter

The sweet, sultry, delicate voice of Blair, Leighton Meester’s character in Gossip Girl is the closest parallel I can draw to Jeff Sontag’s vocals in his, I am Lightyear and The Two Friends’ “Brighter”. The two vocalists perform a duet under the moonlight as well as over the production by The Two Friends, making it rather unique. It has a similar feel to many of their previous tracks in that it puts the vocals on display with a soft instrumental and then it turns it up for the build and drop, which again features a light, catchy melody (I guess).

The Two Friends’ latest original “Sedated” features the superb vocals of Jeff Sontag and follows the same vein as their previous remix of “World In Our Hands” that I found a liking to. It starts off a little slow before finding its stride in the build and fully taking off in the drop. Even though there is an oddly out of place piano during the drops, this is still a great song that is worth sharing.
