The Dean’s List released this video for “The Dream” off their 2011 mixtape, The Drive-In, earlier this week.  Setting scene on the road and sharing some footage from their recent journey on tour, Sonny takes it into the vacant wilderness to recite these powerful lyrics.  FTS creative have been making some very impressive videos lately and are honestly giving Rex Arrow a run for his money.  The Dean’s List have been releasing visuals for new tracks as well as singles off The Drive-In for several months now, but expect an announcement for their next project, Generation X, coming very soon.

Hip-Hop, Videos | The Dean’s List – All My Troubles [Music Video]

A few months back, The Dean’s List teamed up with Red Bull to release an exclusive track.  Representing their brand well, Sonny, Mik, and Mendoza delivered a high octane electro/hip-hop track.  About a month ago, the two camps teamed up once again to shoot the visuals for the single.  They made their way up to the coast of New Hampshire to capture most of the caffeinated visuals with the help of FTS Creative (who has been killing the game with videos lately).  I’m not sure if this song will find its way to an official project, but for now you can grab the mp3 below if you don’t already have it.

Hip-Hop | The Dean’s List, Mac Miller, Common

Posted by on October 6, 2011

The Dean’s List have been heavy on their grind recently.  Although we haven’t had much music to show, they’ve got a couple new videos and been busy jumping around on their nationwide Pledge To Rage tour.  FTS Creative, who has been making huge moves lately, recording videos with XV, The Dean’s List, Waka Flocka, & more, have been following Sonny, Mendoza, & Mik on the road.  Above is the first episode off their new #BreakfastTalk viral series that will focus primarily on tour life.

Mac Miller’s unofficially official fan site, MacMiller.org has been running a series this week, releasing a rare Mac track each day.  Today, they promised that if @pitpanther01 could reach 2,000 followers, he would deliver the newest installment.  Here’s what he had to say about the track.

“During the summer of 2010 Mac Miller hoped on the remix to Phresh Muney’s single “Regular Guy” to create the MostDope Mix. A pretty dope and chill song that Mac kills.”

The Windy City’s own, Common, dropped the first single off his 9th studio album (yes, 9th).  As always, the established vet delivers refreshingly crisp lyrics that always reel me back into his music.  It’s amazing after all these years, Common has never sold out or changed for the worse.  One of the realist and most consistent artists in the game.  Production from No I.D. gives this track a launchpad for success.  The Dreamer, The Believer, dropping November 22nd, so be sure to stay up with Common.

Hip-Hop, Videos | XV – Wichita (Music Video)

Quite possibly the only substantial talent coming out of Kansas that I’m aware of, XV continues his recent tear, releasing the visuals for one of his most popular singles off his Zero Heroes mixtape.  Although the song itself is a bit dated, XV takes to his roots to show some visual love to his hometown people over the real smooth Just Blaze production.  XV linked up with FTS Creative for the video, who you may recognize from their work with The Dean’s List and/or Aziz, as this video once again does not disappoint.  If you’ve put off downloading Zero Heroes for the past 6 months or so, I’d advise you to move that mouse and download it here.
