Hip-Hop | Sam Adams – Blow Up
Posted by Mach on November 14, 2011
Been some time since anyone has heard some new Sam Adams. For those of you who didn’t like Sam’s dubstep/hip-hop tracks over the summer, this is a nice change of style. Rapping over The Pixies, Where Is My Mind?, Sam has a lot of work to do to build back his fan base after this hiatus of his. Can he do it? Of course he can. Listen to this track, is that not enough to show you Boston’s Boy has still got it? Haters are going to hate on this, but going unbiased on this, realizing what Sam has and has not gotten away with in the past. This is just the beginning before he really blows up.

Hip-Hop, Videos | Macklemore & Ryan Lewis – And We Danced (Music Video)

Any avid fan of Macklemore & Ryan Lewis knows this song differs from their normal offerings. Whether or not their objective here is to skeet over the entire frat rap/party/dance music scene, this is one hell of a song. Could it be an attempt at a “hit record”? Maybe. Could it be a parody/subliminal shot at the “fake rap” scene Macklemore divides himself from? Maybe. Could it be that Zoolander Macklemore and Ryan Lewis wanted to show their versatility and have fun making a track like this? Definitely a possibility. Whatever the motive, I now know these guys are capable of almost anything.

Hip-Hop | e-dubble – Fight For Days
Posted by Grubeats on November 1, 2011
The king of samples returns once again with a fresh track which samples “Don’t Move” by Phantogram. It’s been a minute since I checked out e-dubble’s Facebook Page, but he’s nearly doubled his fan base since the last time I saw. I suppose that will happen when you continuously release music with purpose and truth. e-dubble differs from you’ve average up and coming artist, shading himself from the camera’s and focusing on delivering meaningful lyrics most people can relate to.

Freestyle, Hip-Hop | Timeflies Tuesday: D’oh

Apologies for the delay, Timeflies bring us a fan submitted idea of “TV shows”. In standard form, Res samples some themes, writes down some random tv shows on small pieces of paper and let’s Cal do the rest. Personally, I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of Timeflies Tuesday’s or Cal’s freestyles because there’s always something new. You can tell Res is still surprised by some of the words Cal strings together as he bends back in awe.
Hip-Hop | Machine Gun Kelly – LTFU (Video)

Here is a fan submitted music video for MGK’s Daft Punk sampled track, LTFU, which was off his recently released mixtape Rage Pack. Now that hes part of the new era of Bad Boy Records, it’s crazy to see how far he’s come since the original Lace Up mixtape first came out.
Hip-Hop | Lupe Fiasco – LightWork Ft. Ellie Goulding & Bassnectar

Lights might one of the greatest remixes ever made, it is no wonder that Lupe chose it. I get the feeling some of Lupe’s more hardcore fans will not like this. With that said, I really like this. I wasn’t much a fan of his latest album, but I am enjoying this.
