Sammy recently dropped the first single, “Blow Up”off his debut LP, since inking a major deal with RCA Records at Sony. A sprightly hook and verses his fans can relate to, Sam brings us back to the “I Hate College” days. Yes he has a fair amount of work to do to build himself back into the freshman that stunned the world with his debut EP release, but now with the proper tools in place I’m confident Sam’s going to be resurrecting his brand and reaching a new level of success. Sammy traced back his roots and found himself shooting this video in Allston, MA where he first started to “Blow Up”. Despite this being the first music video we’ve seen since “Still I Rise” with G. Curtis, this project encompasses every aspect necessary for national and international success and should kick start Boston’s Boy back onto the charts. No confirmed date yet for the album, but we can definitely expect a grade A projet in 2012.

I’m happy to say I think this week consists of the filthiest tunes for a R Rated post so far. They will be great for Christmas day when you need to wake up the family bright and early. Just make sure the bass is up and the volume is turned up high.
This first track is one of Crissy Criss’s bass filled bangers off of his new EP. Definite must have for dubstep fans. I can’t get enough of that modern talking “Yo” sound.

As if Destroy Them With Lazers wasn’t already filthy enough. This edit takes this track to a whole other level of nasty.

The intro to this track is too good; not to mention the heavy drop. This track has a futuristic vibe to it and it is very appealing.

The first time I ever heard this track was a youtube clip of Rusko dropping it during UMF Miami, and the crowd went bananas. With a VIP of this track out now I can only imagine what is going to happen to the crowd.

When Mach sent me this track I didn’t know what to expect when I hit play, but knowing Mach I had a feeling it wouldn’t disappoint and it didn’t.

Be careful with this track, because the drop will get you. It comes out of no where and it is heavy with the bass.

Since Skrillex’s EP is releasing Friday I only saw it fit that he was featured in R Rated. Most people don’t have this track because it wasn’t released, but it is the instrumental to Scatta. The sounds in the drops are a little different and it is a noticeable difference for me. This has to be one of my favorite classic Skrillex tracks.

After hitting impressing us with his dubstep remixes to Krewella’s Strobelights and Rihanna’s We Found Love, Jakers left us hungry for more. His latest release is a remix to Relapse off of Collin McLoughlin’s latest EP Stark Perspective. Jakers takes the original track for a ride to produce a truly unique moombahton-influenced piece.

Drum & Bass | Dodge & Fuski – Come Again (Phetsta Remix)

Dodge & Fuski’s three track EP has released and Phetsta destroyed the remix of Come Again. Although drum & bass doesn’t always appeal to me, I can’t stop listening to this track. Phetsta blends heavy bass with crazy synths to get a perfect combination for a filthy tune.

Before you guys go crazy, I know this preview of Culprate’s track isn’t really considered to be “filthy”, but trust me their EP thats going to released on the 25th is going to have some sick tunes. Culprate brings something new to the dubstep scene, kind of like a KOAN Sound style in their own interpretation. As far as R Rated tracks, we have them in full force for the holidays so prepare yourself. To make up for my late post, I loaded the R Rated stocking with some extra goodies this week so enjoy.

Quickie Mart dropped this track to promote his new remix EP, Space Monkey Radio. This is a sick dubstep freebie, if you ask me it should have been on the EP. Great vocals on this track, the laser synths sound so sweet in the intro. The drop happens suddenly, and its got a cool, creative, smooth vibe to it.
