Electro-House | Live City – Welcome To The Madhouse (Original Mix)
Posted by Middy on April 2, 2012
This song starts out heavy and only gets heavier. For all of you people looking for some dark, hard electro, this one will satisfy your needs. These guys have been very busy having just dropped a 4 song EP 2 weeks ago and they are already releasing another electro house banger. This one starts heavy from the first second and though the build moves to smooth, well formulated synth melodies, the song never lets up into the drop of heavy, pulsing, distorted synths and a pounding bass line. If you like this don’t forget to check out their first two EPs: #1 – “Live City EP“, #2 – “Liver Than Ever EP“.
Dubstep, Electro-House, Electronic | Gemini — Fire Inside EP
Posted by Sev on April 2, 2012
One of my favorite Dubstep producers, Gemini, releasing another EP today titled “Fire Inside”. Yet again he brings something different to the genre, never ceasing to suprise me and always staying true to the style he favors most. Known most for his melodic/euphoric basslines and drops; Gemini keeps that style through this EP, but also provides something a little heavier, as well more electronic. Starting off with Fire Inside, which was previewed on UKF’s alternate youtube channel about a month ago showcasing Gemini’s electro fire, had already caught my attention before I even listened to the other three tracks. Giving it a trancy vibe throughout parts of the track, but also bringing the chainsaw electro sounds is what gives this tune the perfect balance between bliss and madness.
No Way Out is where we see that classic melodic Gemini style we all love so much, filled with his amazing piano melodies that bring us back to when he first released his single Blue. His third track To The World is his anthem to all the dubstep fans who need those heavy bass lines and drops. This tune has been one of the highlights of his US tour sets smashing crowds everywhere. Lastly we have a track entitled Nothingness, which was added last minute causing the EP release to be pushed back a week or so. This was completely unexpected from Gemini, but I’m glad he decided to include it on this EP. Categorized as Electronica, this track showcases his ability to create a masterpiece outside of Dubstep. This track really caught my attention and is an amazing work of art. You can listen to all the tracks below and purchase them from iTunes as provided or get them off of Beatport HERE. Also after the jump is a free track from his EP given away on UKF, so be sure to grab it.

Electro-House | The Frederick – Delirium
Posted by Mach on March 31, 2012
Mau5trap Record’s newest member The Frederick just dropped his first release off the label for free in celebration of his signing and upcoming EP release. The Electro-House track in immense, I can see why Mau5trap signed him. His style on this track sounds like something Feed Me would produce, which I’d consider a huge compliment. I could not imagine how awesome this track sounds live, it is a dance floor destroyer.

Dubstep | Featured Artist: Haywyre
Posted by Mach on March 29, 2012
Martin Vogt aka Haywyre, has been studying piano since the age of six. His interest in the production of hip-hop, dubstep and electronica began when he lived in Austria. Shortly after moving back to the United States, in 2008, Haywyre was created. Since then he has released four albums, The Voyage being most recent. His inspiration comes from artists such as Opiuo, Noisia, Break, STS9, Pretty Lights, Flying Lotus, Freddy Todd, Trentemoller, Patrick O’Hearn, Kraak & Smaak, Phillip Glass and more. His music production is made possible with FL Studio, Ableton Live, an AKAI MPK 88 midi keyboard, and an Edirol UA-101 Audio Interface.
Haywyre is 19 years old and currently studies Music Business in Minneapolis, MN. This summer he will be performing a few shows in Wisconsin with his friend Mindspyk. Although his future releases have no official dates set yet, he did tell me he has a few EPs lined up with several different labels, including a ‘pay what you want’ release on bandcamp.

The first track on here is an incredible Glitch-Hop preview that Haywyre just uploaded the other day. The track is full of raw energy, his electrified synths really take off with your imagination. Can’t wait to hear when this one will get released.
Released the same day as the preview for ‘Raw Crunch,’ ‘But Now You Say’ is an old dubstep track of Haywyre’s. Old to him, but new to us, the track makes me think of a blend of Pretty Lights and Bassnectar, if they ever joined forces to do a track. It has the mellow, Indie electronic vibes of Pretty Lights, with the deep, smooth bassline like Bassnectar. A must have in my opinion.
The last set of tracks on here are from Haywyre’s most recent EP release, ‘Encompassing.’ Having obtained the EP myself, I really enjoyed both tracks. ‘The Observer’ is a melodic Glitch-Hop track, where as ‘Mono Nova’ is a smooth, but dirty dubstep track.
“The title is based on the assumption that the ‘Waking Life’ reality encompasses our ‘Dreaming Life’ reality. This is symbolized by the two, stonehenge-like structures. Very much so inspired (surprise surprise) by the movie The Waking Life.”

Hip-Hop | Ludovin ft. Childish Gambino- Tricks
Posted by A on March 28, 2012

“I put in work, ask Ludwig. Put my soul on the track like shoes did.“
While many questions remain about Childish Gambino, one of the most perplexing lines from the tape was an obscure reference to an unknown producer by the name of Ludwig. The blogosphere clamored to to find Ludwig’s but were unable to do so, until now. Ludwig Göransson also known as Ludovin helped co-write and co-produce Gambino’s “Camp” EP and now he’s back with an EP of his own. The project is entitled, “How To Find A Party” and you can grab the full project by clicking here.
Moombahton | Moombah Mondays
Posted by Sev on March 26, 2012
Slowly but surely more and more artist are taking their stab at some form of Moombahton. You can add Helicopter Showdown to the growing list of artists who are putting out some form of Moombahton. One of their most well known tracks, Dramatron which was a big hit during last years UMF played out by Rusko, is now in Moombah VIP form. This is definitely some of the more heavier form of Moombah and FYI at 20k likes on their Facebook page they will release this track on their upcoming EP for FREE!

: DFace slowly climbing his way to the top of Moombahton, just released his second EP on Rot10 Music. Lots of new sounds from him as well as veering away from the heavy Moombahcore sounds we are so used to hearing from him. Nevertheless : Dface knows what he is doing when it comes to Moombahton so be sure to show him some support.
No Stopping EP
Bro Safari pulling a Skrillex on this tune and remixing his own track. With that said, this track is banger. He needed to add a little more spice into his SXSW and WMC sets, so he took one of his most highly known tracks, Da Worm, and buffed it up. Adding some nice transitions and BPM changes as well as a heavy bass synth sound that adds a nice flex to this track. You would be dumb not to grab this free download.

Next up is a duo that is new to me that I didn’t even know existed until I received an email about them. As individual artists you might know them as Killagraham and NYMZ. Killagraham is no stranger to heavy dubstep tunes, while NYMZ brings some House and Moombah flavor to the duo. As a group they go by Milo & Otis dropping some funky Moombah tunes. Show these guys some love and like there new Facebook page, you won’t regret it.

Hip-Hop | Double Vision Music Marathon pt. 1 – Clock Town
Posted by dshaq on March 26, 2012
I present to you the music of Double Vision. These two Boston Boys are doing a mini EP each week to symbolize the four different legs of the Boston Marathon. Today’s is the first one: Clock Town. After hearing this EP, I got to say I’m quite impressed. 2xV brings it on tracks which some display their hip hop side and others more of their pop side. Check this one out and look back for next Monday’s release!
