The last two Drum & Bass Friday posts may have been on Saturday, but I am really excited about doing this Drum & Bass post this Friday. This first track is a preview of Fred V & Grafix’s upcoming remix of ‘Feel The Love,’ and it is absolutely breath taking. The duo has been burning up Drum & Bass as of late, remixes like this I am hoping will reflect originals they will drop in the future. This remix drops May 28th, I will make sure we post it up that day to keep everyone on top of things.
Last track you can’t download in this post, I promise the rest is free. InsideInfo has been producing Drum & Bass jams for quite some time now. This most recent preview of his really caught my eye. It is set for release on his upcoming EP, ‘Grow,’ and once the Didgeridoo effects break in you are sold. Very cool and creative, a must have when it drops May 28th.
Taking a stand for women of the industry, AivaSound produced and sang on this beautiful original of her’s. I love the bass in the beginning that sounds and feels like a beating heart. The rest of the track stays completely true to the name, it is a great ‘Melody.’
This next track is a contribution from my boy W8 (pronounced ‘wait’). This is an awesome Liquid Drum & Bass track. Pretty Lights had already created an incredible tune when he made this original. The Drum & Bass just feels like a little extra something for the fans.
SizzleBird…haha it is a funny name, but this track is no joke. This is a sick original work, I love finding the no name people. You know when they post something their heart, soul, and life were put into it. Some people don’t have it in them to make art, but SizzleBird did just that.
This last track is a very smooth instrumental. The piano composition sounds great with the Drum & Bass beat that it is built off of. I do not know much about the artist, but another nobody I look forward to a future of music from.

After seeing Emalkay live during Nocturnal Wonderland here in Texas, I can honestly say this tune absolutely smashes crowds and stages. I need a release date for this tune ASAP, because I can only listen to these rips for so long. Emalkay took my MVP out of all the performers during Friday of the festival, and this tune was probably the determining factor. Really hoping we get some more tunes from this guy soon. I’m happy to say we FINALLY have a new track from Killsonik that was released out of no where yesterday. After only releasing one remix for Nero last year these guys were never heard from again until recently. Having their new single put up on UKF dubstep as well promoting the release of their EP, “Blood Lust” , on May 28th. I will give it to them though, this is a killer remix.
Mach has been eagerly awaiting the release of this next remix by Stepsonics. I had never heard of him before this, but what a way to be introduced. The track has a nice buildup which slowly levels off to where everything goes silent. Next thing you know you get slapped in the face by the drop. Take this as your warning.
We are slowly seeing more and more material emerging from the Never Say Die camp. After their two track remix EP released last week as well as Skism’s remix a few weeks before that; now everyone awaits the release of this drumstep remix of Hadouken’s Parasite. Who wouldn’t want a remix from Skism AND Zomboy. From what I have heard Zomboy has a EP in the making, so looking forward to hearing some of his new bits in the upcoming months.
How many artist do you know that can take Rick Astley’s Never Gonna Give You Up aka Rick Roll’d theme song and create a sick glich hop remix over the vocals? I can only think of one and that is the 17 year old producer, Teknian. I’m not going to lie I would like it to just be an instrumental, but either way the beat is dope.
Next up is an artist I have been following and keeping in contact with for a while now, but nobody knows of the talent this guy really has. I think the original to this track was top notch, until I heard this remix by Andrew D. This guy really has no boundaries, dropping tracks through all genres that just keep blowing me away. Whenever I asked him to let me know when he finished this track, he told me if he ever does….. You can imagine the face I made; something along these lines 0_0. Dubstep | Kid Womp – Le Crunkstep Vol.1

Kid Womp back at it again with another EP to release. The plan was to wait and release it once he hit 1500 likes on Facebook, but he upgraded his Soundcloud today to unlimited downloads, and just couldn’t contain himself any longer. After the release of his Genres EP he decided that it was time to keep expanding his music. This led to the creation of “Le Crunkstep Vol.1” an EP consisting of only Crunk vocals over dubstep to create what is known as Crunkstep. This is one of those areas of dubstep still growing. We have seen Crizzly be an avid supporter of this area, and on that note without further ado some Crunkstep bangers for your evenings.
Electro-House | Albin Myers – Hells Bells EP

The Swedish electro house aficionado, Albin Myers is known for making tracks that put push the limits of electro house, such as “Bumbaclot” and his remix of “Fade Into Darkness”, that was more on the progressive side, but still showed his unique sound. This EP, out on Dim Mak Records, brings together his harder, grungier sounds into an EP with the track “Hells Bells”, which has been championed by the likes of Tiesto, Avicii & Tristan Garner and is a perfect weapon in any set and very good in bootlegs. Just when you thought it wasn’t possible to up the tempo and energy of the track just a bit more, he then adds a drumstep version of “Hells Bells”, though the signature drop is sacrificed a bit. The first two tracks are very good being a little less grungy and uptempo, providing a little respite for the listener and showing the more subtle side of Albin Myers’ sound, while still keeping up with “Hells Bells” and the drumstep counterpart. Albin Myers is definitely one to keep an eye on this year and into the future with his unique sound and ability to be creative and versatile.

Aer drops the visuals to the title track off their EP, What You Need. The guys are working on their new album and plan to be done by the end of Summer. Also they will be touring all summmer with OCD: Moosh & Twist, so make sure to grab tickets here. Also make sure to like their Facebook, because once they hit 30K they said they’d release a new track!

FNT favorite Viceroy collaborating with WhiteNoize is back with his first original since his EP in the fall. It has an old school house feel with a prominent, funky bass line, horn samples and vocal sample that helps carry the melody. It is a nice change of pace to hear that old school house sound with all of the electro and progressive house tracks these days. This track reminds it is Summertime, All The Time, so finish up those finals and get to summer. It will be out on Beatport on May 7th. UPDATED with Beatport Link
