A-Trak is known as one of the best DJs in the world and will wow you with his incredible live sets that take on the same eclectic characteristics of his own productions. The man is very busy not only as head of Fools Gold, but also with a Duck Sauce album on the way at the beginning of next year, his solo work that are on display here in this 4 track EP, all on top of his incessant touring schedule. The EP covers all sorts of ground from the grungy, choppy title track with Tommy Trash, “Tuna Melt”, to the bouncy, trap infused “Landline” with GTA, the aptly named “Jumbo” with Galantis and the glitchy, nu-disco “Disco Nap” with Oliver.

After taking an extended hiatus, Moufy understands he has work to do to earn back the loyalty of his Star Gang supporters. The Boston MC was anticipating a 2012 release for his debut EP, Humble Season, but after making some changes within his inner circle, the release was delayed and thereafter can be expected to drop early in 2013. “One Day” marks the first official release off the EP and harnesses an unparalleled sense of desire and motivation. Mighty Moufy may have a heavy load on his shoulders, but the young gunner is extremely eager to prove to all of us why it’s his time to shine.

Kicking off this weeks Thanksgiving edition of R Rated, it is only right to have an excess of tunes to add some filth to your holidays. First up we have this free tune from Pegboard Nerds, who have been tearing the scene apart lately. This track was given away as a gift for their 20k followers. These guys have yet to release a tune less than amazing so grab this free download HERE.
Next up are two previews from an artist who has been making a name for himself and is a part of the Firepower Crew. It is none other than AFK, who previewed two new heavy originals by himself, but no release dates yet. Both of these tracks are monstrous and have me excited to see what he is going to release next.
DeadExit is a new group with three members, and one of them being none other heavy hitter Crissy Criss. They released a mix about a week ago showcasing some of their new material, but yesterday they released their first free track. When Crissy Criss is involved in creating a track you know that it is going to pack a punch and have some crazy sounds. Grab the free download and keep an eye out for a EP release soon.
It has been a while since we heard any new material from Zanetic. It seems as though he has been locked in the studio creating and mixing down his latest EP which is set to release on Dec. 3rd. He was kind enough to give us this free DL from the EP that is a crazy glich hop tune. You can download the track HERE.

Mashups | DJ Trademark – Diamond In The Rough EP

To conclude the previous two releases, DJ Trademark has released his next big project, “Diamond in the Rough.” The title couldn’t be more fitting as Trademark is undoubtedly the next up and comer of the mashup game. The seamlessness of the vocals over the instrumentals is unparalleled and the creativity/vision displayed on this EP is phenomenal. This is one of the best projects we’ve come across in a while, this is a must download.

What a way to kick off Saturday night. The Frim comes through with this funky remix to an all time classic of Daft Punk’s Robot Rock. He turns this Electronic remix upside down, and gives it a nice grimy feel at a mid-tempo speed. This is a just a taste of what is to come on his EP this week, more specifically Nov. 20th. I found it very difficult tonight to pull up a lot of tracks perfect for R Rated, eh, it happens. Let’s have Bassex start this one off right.
Now Konec has a sweet EP coming out on November 19th, it contains a few sweet originals of his, but also this filthy Dubstep/Electro remix from Poisound. The clip below shows the Dubstep half of the track and the Electro half. Damn, he brought the heat with this remix.
Next we have a good-bye (for now) from LFOMG. He will be taking a hiatus from producing for a while, but made sure not to leave us empty handed.
Teen is just another one of those randoms that cross my path, lucky for him it happened to be in prep for this post. Starts out with an alien like intro then drops into some crazy filth. Was not expecting something like this.
Time to finish off with a bang. Just found out who Davip was the other day. This remix of his just dropped a few days ago off Backdrafts “Revolution Remixes.” Sev and I are suckers for the Reggae vibes mixed with Dubstep. This track takes it in a direction neither of us are use to. Breakbeat, Reggae Filth.
