FNT was first to put you on to ACADEMY, and their latest single “This View” off their EP Moving Methods is one you’re not going to want to miss! The guys had sent me this track a few days back, and I’ve been so deep into deep house music, I wasn’t ready for it, but this Thursday morning seemed like the right time to press play, and the quality of the sound is what brought me in. Their ditty like, laid back production, produced by Sean Kongery, overlayed with their trademark reggae/ska vocals makes for the perfect rainy day Summer jam. This is a must listen and a must download!

Chill, Trap | Sia – Chandelier (ViLLAGE Remix)
Posted by BP on June 4, 2014

I don’t know if I would exactly call this trap, but that’s the general area Village can be found producing in so I popped it in there. This remix of “Chandelier” by Sia is fresh and bouncy. Sia’s singing is gorgeous as usual and flows well with Village’s bass filled banger. This track remains chill throughout while still being fun enough to be filed under party playlists around the world. There’s a link on the Soundcloud player to buy “The Touch EP”, but I can’t post it here because my US Itunes can’t open it up. If you’re in the same area as me, stream the remix below!
Dubstep | Infuze – Release Yourself EP
Posted by BP on June 4, 2014

With support from Datsik, Infuze released this EP today, fittingly titled “Release Yourself”. This three track monster is filled with dubstep and amazing vocals from Charlie Fox and Bailey Smalls. I love finding new dubstep gems, and with support from Datsik and a release on Firepower Records you know it has got to be good. My favorite track is the first, “Release Yourself”, because of the heavier sound, but they all are classics and each bring something different to the table. Grab it on Beatport.

Dubstep, Electro | Fox Stevenson – All This Time EP
Posted by Middy on May 26, 2014

Internet sensation Fox Stevenson has released his much anticipated EP “All This Time”. The singer / songwriter / producer does it all, making the beats that range from drum n bass to cheery, melodic electro to dub and then writes and sings the slight angsty vocals on the tunes. The four track brings a lot of variety and shows a rare talent that sings and produces his own music in the dance realm. Make sure you pay special attention to “Out There”.

Electronic, Trap | Ostra – Won’t Do // Zu-Zumba
Posted by mimada on May 14, 2014

Over here at FNT we’re die hard DIEHIGH fans so it came as no surprise that I was instantly hooked by one of their latest releases showcasing LA-based newcomer Ostra. This EP is pretty interesting considering the two very different approaches taken with each track. The first, “Won’t Do” will cater perfectly for those Wave Racer fans out there meanwhile the second is a fascinating collage of latin guitar, Mr.Carmack-esque trap, and crowds chanting. Diggin’ the originality. Cop this EP and keep an eye out for future releases from this newbie.

Hip-Hop | Christian Deshun – 777
Posted by VMan on May 6, 2014
Christian Deshun does it again with the release of visuals for his track “777” off his acclaimed EP SMPLCTY and if this doesn’t put him on the map, then ya’ll don’t know good hip hop. With a unique flow over a beat that’s lead by an old school saxophone top line and that Louisiana swamp swag, there’s no reason for this track not to end up on your playlist. I’ve personally had the track on repeat, feeling like a straight G, getting work done, and bouncing to it all at the same time. If you’re trying to cop this track head over to AudioMack,to download the full EP. This is a must listen and a must download!
Dubstep | Seven Lions – Worlds Apart EP
Posted by Middy on May 3, 2014

Whenever Seven Lions releases new music, you immediately stop what you are doing to take a listen. His sound is so unique, enthralling and well put together that every time you hear new something him it is a totally different experience. Recently signed to Universal’s burgeoning dance imprint Casablanca Records, which has artists like Tiësto, TJR, Martin Garrix and Chase & Status in its stables, Seven Lions was given access to top of the line topline writers like Ellie Goulding and Kerli.
All five tunes show the mastery of Jeff Montalvo and the hard work he has put in over the winter break he took from touring to focus on just making music. The aforementioned Ellie Goulding kicks off the EP, featured on the first track. It is fitting that someone whose career is largely owed to producers remixing her songs, Ellie Goulding, hopped on this EP to provide her instantly recognizable vocal talents to the trancy opening tune, “Don’t Leave”. Only “Strangers” is a previously released track, with each record having its own feel and sound, yet remaining true to the Seven Lions ethos. This may be his most complete EP to date and this will hold us over for quite some time as we know the perfectionist takes a while to release material.
