Woah, I never thought I’d say this, but Muse is back! They seemed to have discovered the most innovative way to blend Electro with Rock, without losing their Rocker inside. Muse is famous for their orchestral intros and outros, this new styling for them has absolutely made Muse one of the most revolutionary bands of our time. Their new album “The 2nd Law” is already available for pre-order, and is releasing on October 2nd. After watching this video, this album may be one of the most anticipated Rock albums in years, history in the making.

Electro-House | D!RTY AUD!O x Danilo – Lifestyle & Sander van Doorn – Chasin’ (D!RTY AUD!O Remix)

Posted by on July 12, 2012

D!RTY AUD!O is back at it again teaming up with Dutch producer Danilo to create this Electro-house banger. Both of these up coming artist have stepped out of their usual genres to work on this unique collaboration that has a nice bouncy vibe to it. Influences from both sides can be seen as the intro starts of nice and slow with some House-style buildups and progressions. As the track slowly builds up to the drop we see some filtering and then we get that catchy bouncy Electro drop.

I couldn’t help but post this outstanding remix by D!RTY AUD!O as well for the Sander Van Doorn remix competition. With so many of these competitions currently ongoing it is nice to support these growing artist who are trying to become recognized by the big names. After listening to this remix a few times it was hard to find any flaws within the track, which is why it secured my vote right away. Take a listen to the track and if you feel the same be sure to give him a vote as well. The preview is posted below with the Beatport voting link HERE.

Dubstep, Electro | KDrew – Last Train To Paradise (The Noisy Freaks Remix)

Posted by on July 11, 2012

The Noisy Freaks tend to dabble in Electro, Electro-House, and Dubstep, but Complextro is the genre the duo calls home. Not many artists claim the Electro/Dubstep blended genre their main production preference, but if one is going to do it I’m glad it was these guys. The original from KDrew had incredible vocals that are utilized perfectly on this remix. Laser firing, bass pumping, and synth sweating, this track was made for the dance floor.

Electro-House | Afrojack – Can’t Stop Me (The Remixes)

Posted by on June 26, 2012

The amazing remixes to Afrojack’s original featuring Shermanology “Can’t Stop Me” have finally been released. Containing two outstanding remixes from three top notch producers. Tietso taking a stab at his interpretation of the track on one remix and R3hab & Dyro smashing it with their heavy Electro on the other. Tiesto opted to take a more dance feel where he focused on keeping the dance beat present throughout instead of a heavy Electro drop, while R3hab and Dyro dove straight into the chainsaw madness and thumping Electro groove. It is tough to pick a favorite from these two, but if I had to I would have to go with R3hab & Dyro on this one. Grab both of these remixes off of Beatport HERE

Moombahton | Moombah Mondays

Summer has been getting the best of me so far, as far as Moombah Mondays are concerned. I have been falling behind so yet again I have to get you guys updated on the Moombah scene. Tittsworth, Rez & Des McMahon newest EP dropped a few days back and after listening to it for a few days it is safe to say it was worth the purchase. All the tracks bring a new aspect to the Moombah game and show a spark of new originality from all these artist brought into all the tracks on the EP.

Whenever there is a release from Dillon Francis coming up I am always excited to see what style he decided to choose. Looks like he is slowly digging back into Moombahton, but with some more hard hitting synths compared to his uplifting ones from his earlier remixes. In other news he also announced another upcoming release in July titled “This Ones 4 Munchi”. Not sure why, but just by the title I am dying to hear what he has mixed together for this one.

Swatdojo nailed this genre combination between Electro and Moombahton. Keeping that heavy Electro bounce with the slowed down BPM, as well the latin percussions. He won me over with this remix and got me listening to this track again, even though there are a million remixes of it.

Milo & Otis have yet to drop the ball as far as releases go. I can’t point out one track they have given away that has disappointed me. Something tells me we are going to be seeing these guys on some tour schedules pretty soon. I love the reggae/island influence on this track alongside the uplifting synth melody; not to mention the heavy bassy drop.

Munchi slowly resurfacing on his social medias these past few weeks and his biggest upload has been this killer, hour long Moombahton mix. Packed with so many exclusives and aggressive remixes, which now explain what he has been doing this whole time. The untitled collaboration with Bro Safari has to be my favorite track on. I haven’t heard anything like it before and I am waiting impatiently to hear about a release for this tune.

Electronic | Purity Ring – Fineshrine

Posted by on June 25, 2012

It’s gloomy here in NYC. What better way to get over the Monday blues than with a haunting, slow-paced yet perfectly pitched electro tune? Now this isn’t a remix nor is it from one of the usual EDM suspects. This track comes from a band named Purity Ring, known for their dark and gruesomely descriptive lyrics over mouth-watering productions. Maybe they don’t even count as EDM, but either way this song rocks so please do me a solid and press play.

Electro | FTampa – Time Police Ft. Troll

Posted by on May 3, 2012

I believe that FTampa is one of the more underrated producers in electronic music, this bumping Electro tune is further support of that statement. This track goes hard, making for an epic dance track. Troll’s vocals remind me of the lead singer from The Killers, which is a huge plus for this track. FTampa never disappoints in my mind, get to know him.
