YOU ALREADY KNOW WHAT IT IS.

All the music that I listened to throughout the last 12 months enough to make me sick but somehow didn’t. The fields of music brought a bountiful yield in 2013 which allowed listeners like me to tune into more genres and artists than I could ever imagine. In order to cover all my necessary bases, I’ve drafted quite a comprehensive list (or two) missing prety much only anything Jennifer Lawrence related although if all the things she said this year were songs then they would 100% have made it on my list as well.

So, let the countdown, BEGIN!

Trap | The Chordettes – Mr. Sandman (RaceCarBed Trap Flip)

Posted by on November 19, 2013

Here’s a classic song with purely original flip that’s absolutely awesome. RaceCarBed, the DJing duo since 2010, has opened for Diplo, Crookers, Rusko, Pretty Lights, Dillon Francis, Clockwork, Big Gigantic, Baauer, RL Grime, Kill The Noise, Bro Safari, Brillz, and Heroes x Villians, among many others. Creating their own style and dope remixes, this fresh take on the popular song is worth the share.

Electronic | Oliver – Mechanical Remixes

Posted by on October 24, 2013

Okay so I’ve been a bit all over the place the past week so this post may be a tad over due but bear with me – it’s incredibly vital to your well being and the entirety of your weekend. The charismatic DJ duo Oliver released their Mechanical EP through Fool’s Gold earlier this year and were showered in success. Like, if you didn’t hear “MYB” at a music festival at least 5 times this summer then you son were at all the wrong music festivals. Anyways, last week they debuted their Mechanical remixes and literally each track is a hands-down 10. The first remix is brought to us by the one and only Dillon Francis who shot “Night Is On My Mind” with a full injection of bonafied Dillon, with that one and only moombatastic, speaker-shattering sound you can trust. The second remix from Nom De Strip was an unexpected favorite, a big room rework of “Control” that is undoubtedly, well, out of control. Next up, a freaky deep remix of “MYB” from FNT favorite Tchami, which adds a nice new perspective to the original. The EP finishes off strong courtesy of upcoming producer Values, who takes us on a heavenly, melodic journey throughout the remix of title-track “Mechanical.” If Values wasn’t on your radar before, I think this track will guarantee he ends up dead center in the near future. And you know, I want to say the last one will end being the one you play on repeat, but the truth is the whole compilation works so well together you probably won’t be able to settle on just one track. Unfortunately it’s not available for free download but grow a pair a drop the few bucks necessary so these DJs can bring home the bacon at the end of the day. Plus then you can have these remixes readily available because you never know when you might need them this weekend… OoOoOoOoOh!

Events, Review | 5 Things I Learned and Saw At Electric Adventure

Posted by on August 22, 2013

Zeds DeadIn a little Throwback Thursday edition of event reviews, we have Electric Adventure, the 2-day festival that took place at Six Flags, in New Jersey over the 3rd and 4th of August. It combined a bass and trap heavy lineup, with some of the premier roller coasters on the eastern seaboard, giving you an experience where your adrenaline was always pumping, unless you were waiting in line for rides. The lineup was well rounded with guys like Dillon Francis, Seven Lions, GTA, 12th Planet and Zeds Dead all performing over the 2 days. Click past the jump for a few photos and some things I learned and saw at the festival.

Chill, Electro | Dillon Francis – Flight 4555 (IDGAFOS 3.0 S.U.C.K Remix)

Posted by on August 7, 2013

About a month ago Dillon Francis dropped “Flight 4555” with a 9 minute long video of him sleeping on the floor of an airport. If you’re expecting a drop from Dillon, not this time. French producer S.U.C.K. on the other hand decided to remix the record and make this dreamy track epic. This track is a treat for the ears, and for the mind. I’m not sure what to call it, though it incorporates orchestral instruments with electro and it sounds awesome. Shout out to Middle Finger Music for sending this in, and enjoy the free download!

Chill, Electro | Dillon Francis ft Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs – Without You

Dillon-Francis-Without-You-feat.-Totally-Enormous-Extinct-Dinosaurs

Dillon Francis teamed up with Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs aka TEED and dropped this epic dance record called “Without You.” According to his SoundCloud, Dillon was having some relationship problems, and TEED ended up writing a song about the situation. I’m glad he did. I’m letting you know now, this is not your typical Dillon Francis track, but it’s another great track to add to your Summer playlist nonetheless. Enjoy this light and sexy record, and support by purchasing the single!

Electronic | Meowski666 – Meow Machine

Posted by on July 31, 2013

Dillon Francis and Kill The Noise have finally let the cat out of the bag: and by that I mean the first track from their collab project appropriately titled Meowski666. Originally, the duo premiered the pairing at the IHEARTCOMIX Mad Decent Fool’s Gold SXSW showcase (minus KTN) under the hiatus, “Kitten Party.” Now, our favorite cat-loving DJs are ready to let the dogs cats out with the release of “Meow Machine,” an electronic cacophony of bass, Venga Boys, and KW Griff’s “Bring In The Katz,” punctuated by cat calls of your favorite feline YouTube celebrities. And I’m not kitten when I tell you it’s just awesome.

In regards to Meowski666, Dillon tweeted:

Jake and I’s sideproject @Meowski666 is really us just letting loose, having fun & creating something everyone with love… No boundaries

While Kill The Noise put it more simply as “Just two guys doin it for the lulz.” (As per your request Jake, not making any shit up)

Judging by the rest of Dillon’s recent Twitter activity, he’s got some serious shit a-brewin’ (exhibit A, B, and C) but I think so far this track might be my favorite =^.^=
