You ever ask yourself why your better half deals with your shit, and strives every day to make you a better person, even though you’re an asshole? Alright I’m being brutal here, but god bless the women in our lives who make us grow up, or as RnB UK singe Amir would say, god bless the women in our lives who “save us.” With that said cue the North Londoner’s new single “Save Me,” which comes at the heel of having toured the UK, performing for hundreds of thousands of fans. If you’re a fan of Trey Songz, Chris Brown, or Bruno Mars this one’s for you, it’s a must listen!

Timeflies throw it back, but also keep it current with a mashup cover of Scar Tissue x Grenade. After a recent announcement that the RHCP would be added to the likes of Bruno Mars and whatever other Super Bowl surprises, this could be a realistic preview of what’s to come Sunday night. No clue who this Bo Saris guy is, where he came from, and how come he’s not bigger than he should be, but this track “Little Bit More” is refreshing and has potential to be a huge radio hit. If you’re fan of Bruno Mars, and that Mo-Town sound that’s been making a come back, this track is for you. Who knew a white boy had so much soul? This is a must listen!

England is getting all the hits it feels like. This track from John Newman is gold, rarely what you get to hear in the US at this caliber anymore. I’m just not that into Bruno Mars and all the other mediocre pop artists, sure they can sing but where is their music like this? Wouldn’t surprise me if this gem made its way over to the US, it’s too good to go unnoticed. “Love Me Again” releases June 30th on iTunes Great Britain.

You know how I said Lift Off would be a weekly thing on the last edition which was a month ago? Yeah I was kidding about that. A couple of things have gone down since the last edition. One being I saw two attractive girls holding hands which was pretty cool, the other being we have decided to end Lift Off. As well as us finding this series no longer necessary, we were also not too happy with the quality of tracks that were going up. I know you’re on the edge of tears regarding the end of this series and for that I don’t apologize because nothing is going to really change. The songs that would normally appear on Lift Off will still be posted, just not on Lift Off and when they actually come out. That’s better isn’t it? There has been a bit of a drought of good, free house music for the past couple of weeks so this should satisfy you for at least a day or so and if not you can at least have solace in the fact that you don’t drive a van.
We start things off with dBerrie who puts his own upbeat spin on Kaskade’s classic “Angel On My Shoulder”.
I’m not a huge fan of Bruno Mars. His songs are generally really sappy and sad I just can’t handle it. Luckily though, NYC based duo Filtercrush has made his “When I Was Your Man” into something worth listening to.
Included in Tjernberg’s two track EP, “Watch Then World End” is a fun and catchy song that could easily be on the radio. It can also be enjoyed while sitting on a public bench and crying.
