Hip-Hop | Jetpack Jones – Forum in the 80’s (Prod. TheGeekSquad)

Posted by on April 16, 2012

After posting his mixtape, Reincarnation, I’ve been keeping my eye on Jetpack Jones. He does a great job of choosing beats that really help showcase his sound. This track has more of the banger tab though, beginning with that intro. Jetpack has really solidified himself as a quality up and comer, and with tracks like this it will only solidify his spot. Make sure to scoop the track below and hit him up on Twitter and Facebook below.

Electronic | Alex Metric – Ammunition EP

Posted by on April 7, 2012

Alex Metric’s three song EP “Ammunition” utilizes an eclectic mix of Electronic elements for some dope beats. Right from the beginning, “Rave Weapon” brings a pulsing bass perfect for nights raving in Kazantip (a 30 day rave in the self-proclaimed hedonist capital of the world). If you’re trying to bust a move “Anybody Else” is your track. The final song, “Epichords” has uplifting synths then breaks down into electronic madness two minutes in.

Drum & Bass | Sev & Mach: DnB Fridays

Posted by on March 30, 2012

Due to popular demand Mach and I are starting a weekly Drum & Bass post every Friday. The only problem is we still haven’t decided on what to call the post, so we are looking to the fans to help us out. So if anyone has any good suggestions on a name email us, find us in the chat, tweet us; do whatever you can to get a hold of us to tell us. With that said lets get our first installment started. 2DB is just beginning to get his exposure in Dnb and this track caught my attention right away. The synth and driving bass work well together to create and perfect skanker. If you like what you hear be sure to like him on FACEBOOK. Were going to try and cover all aspects of Drum & Bass on this post, from the soothing melodic Dnb to the grimey Drumstep, so there is something for everyone. First we have Terravita with yet another free track. These have just been releasing free track after free track, but this time instead of their usual dubstep track they gave away this Dnb track that the fans have been wanting for a long time. With is growl filled synths and heavy bass it is evident why it is in such high demand.

“Single doesn’t mean I’m looking for somebody”

Just last week, we had the opportunity to catch up with Sammmy Adams while he was in Dallas. During the catch up, Sammy was gracious enough to play a few select cuts from his forthcoming album, all of which were huge. Although there’s no set release date on the album yet, he’s dropped a new track entitled “Summertime” for the fans that you can preview above. As a bonus, we’ve included pictures from his Dallas show at The Palladium last weekend!

Electro-House | Iggy Azalea – My World (Bailey Smalls Remix)

Posted by on March 8, 2012

Damn, My buddy Bailey Smalls does it again. This new freebie of his bumps, his use of ‘My World’ vocals over his sick beat is party and dance floor ready. Bailey is pushing to make a name for himself, and I think the sky limit of where he’s headed is just the beginning of where this guy will go. He has an upcoming EP titled ‘Baby, I love You,’ which drops March 20th. The EP has remixes from The Partysquad, Aylen, Udachi, and more! Get to know Bailey Smalls because this wont be the last you hear of him.

Progressive House | Of Monsters and Men – King and Lionheart (Dzeko & Torres Streesh Bootleg)

Posted by on March 2, 2012

This bootleg came as a surprise, listening to the great indie vocals in the beginning, I did not know what to expect from the drop. The duo, Dzeko & Torres Streesh, really did a beautiful job on this. It is just one of the tracks you can either dance to or close your eyes and let it take you away.
