Alesso’s rise to prominence has been frighteningly fast. He is so good and so young and shows off that talent again with this remix of Jasper Forks’ “River Flows In You”. When I first heard “Without You” my first thought was that it needed extra electro heat and Nicky Romero does just that, taking the drop to the next level.

Shwayze & Cisco have had one scorching summer. From Shwayze’s first major hit, “Love Letter”, which featured The Cataracs, to some of their smaller scale beachy beats such as “Summertime Music” and “You Could Be My Girl”, Shwayze & Cisco have innovated nothing short of the best ‘summertime music’. With their very chilling album, “Island In The Sun” which hit shelves Tuesday, I realized there are not many duos who are capable of creating a similar sound. The only real exception being Radical Something, who also had a very successful summer, breaking out of the gates with some very zesty tunes. But really, when the suns out, Shwayze & Cisco belong in the speakers.
I haven’t had a chance to listen to the album through fully yet, but from the half I’ve heard, this track could very well be my favorite. I can’t say I expected to see Kendrick Lamar as one of the few features on this project, but after hearing it, I couldn’t be happier with the decision. The first time I’ve heard K. Dot over this time of beat and the first time I realized how versatile he really is.

Albums | Natural Disaster Remixes: Benny Benassi and Skream

My honest opinion, this track needed to be remixed. Although good, it felt like the vocals didn’t match very well with the beat at hand. Benny Benassi’s remix is better, but Skream coming in with an awesome dubstep remix made it worth while. Benny gives us a nice electro/house remix making the vocals clash a lot less. My final statement, these vocals were meant to be with dubstep, Skream is animal.

Albums, Dubstep | Mach & DJ Coman’s Dubstep Essentials Vol. 1

I am proud to announce the first of FNT’s many essentials albums. They will not just be dubstep, but also house, electro, hip-hip, and what ever else we can come up with. Each will be worked on by multiple people to get a true set of essentials, not just one person’s favorites.
Now to the music. A lot of thought was put into the creation of this, including the order to which the tracks are in. I would like to give a huge shout to DJ Coman for his input for tracks and the awesome artwork he created. This does not just contain mindless heavy drops, but an array of what dubstep has to offer to you the listeners. For my true dubstep lovers I added a couple good ones at the end. Oh,and did I mention there are 30 tracks? Enough of the talk, time for some DUBSTEP!

Albums | Avicii and David Guetta- Sunshine

If you were a super Avicii Addict, then you know this song has been bouncing around youtube since late July. Needless to say the music quality of the track was about as fine as the meat at Taco Bell (why do I still eat there?) and the HQ version is now here! It is classic Avicii, although its on David Guetta’s new album, with a drop at around 2:20. Why is this song so good? But actually, someone answer my question. Is it because I’m a white girl that attends a liberal arts college that I just die for Avicii? No, because you do too. Someone take me back to college so I can rally late at night, get schwasty and rage to this song. Cheers!
