Boston newcomer Jackie Jones stops by for his FNT debut with a strong single ‘Limousines’ accompanied by some simple, but fun visuals. With simple, yet catchy rhythmic production to set the table Jones lays some smooth bars down that provides those windows down summer vibes. Jones brings the record home with a fun hook that reminds you of a time when things were much simpler, and all you had to worry about was trying to find a way to ride in limousines, and drinking champagne with some friends.
Chill, Electronic, Hip-Hop | Madebyswavy & Valleyz Get Ambient on “Black Beatles”
Posted by VMan on November 24, 2016
Covers/remixes are hit or miss for me, especially when it’s of the biggest record in the country. But this chilled out rendition of Rae Sremmurd “Black Beatles” by TEL, MadeBySwavy and valleyz is just the mellow edit you’ll need this Thursday after that Thanksgiving itis kicks in. Only thing I would have enjoyed hearing on this version is the background version you hear on the original included, but beggars can’t be choosers and this is tight.

This record is “For anybody who is trying to make it,” says the 24-year-old West Baltimore native Young Jade. “Working” is his latest debut generating steam in the DMV region. On the song, you’ll find a sprinkling of Auto-Tune & crooning which is what ultimately makes the song unique. Dealing with life, Young Jade talks about the grind you put in to take care of your family. He wants to bring a different positivity coming from the streets of Baltimore and loyalty is extremely important to him. His musical inspirations are quite versatile as he goes from DMX, Busta Rhymes, Berry Gordy, Jadakiss, Prince, Rakim to name a few. Having a family, producing and writing his own music now, he admits he takes life more seriously and wants to bring back the real meaning to hustling.

Also, expect a visual for “Expensive Taste” to drop soon!
Electronic, Hip-Hop | New Act Xia Xia Technique Drop Surprise Music Video For “Let Me Show U (How 2 Cut)”
Posted by VMan on November 2, 2016
Not much is known about this group, but Xia Xia Technique is making moves – boldly dropping a music video alongside one of their newest tracks “Let Me Show U (How 2 Cut)”, one of only two singles XXT has revealed.
“Let Me Show U (How 2 Cut)” features Psycho Flower as the MC and her guest Sakura, (though it is a 3 member group) as thet pay homage to the 90’s style acid-stained music videos. The animation found within are certainly a trip. The overall sound of “Let Me Show U (How 2 Cut)” is drastically different, which I like, the single has a modern hip-hop voice atop, but the beat is just out there, I suppose experimental electronica would be the best way to describe it, with a dash of live drums in there too.
The vibe is chill, but the voice is empowering, and drop is trippy – an overall dope fusion of experimental sides of the dance music spectrum.
