My boy Jersey producer Myles William told me a few months back this cat from Paterson, Fetty Wap, and his track “Trap Queen” would be huge, and to be honest, not giving enough credit to Jersey rappers, I didn’t believe him… Low and behold, he was right, this track is everywhere, and you know what’s even better than the original? This cover/remake by In Retrograde which was sent to me for a premiere, and I had to accept, the track’s been on repeat for me since I clicked on it! This is what happens when a trap king and a trap king link up, bangers! This is a must listen!

If you haven’t heard of the Australian based JAWZ yet it’s about time you do. This 21 year old self-taught producer out of Sydney is definitelly on the rise. He’s already recieved airtime on BBC Radio 1 and hit the top 20 on Hype Machine. This time he’s coming through big with his remix of Alison Wonderland’s “Run.” This track features melodic female vocals that give it a nice chill feel and then just enough trap beat to make you want to turn it up and play it again. I know lean doesn’t translate to EDM, and dance music, but this chopped and screwed version of Disclosure’s “White Noise” by Baiji sounds like he was sipping on a whole lot of foam cups, and smoking on a lot of herb to capture that outer body experience in sound. 4/20 was yesterday, but considering most of us celebrate every day, get your free dolphin, and press play! It seems like ever since “Lean On” was released there has been a steady stream of remixes popping up on Soundcloud, and unfortunately when you remix a track like that you better know what you’re doing. Too often a producer will attempt to put their spin on a really popular song and it falls way to short of the original. Thankfully, we need not worry about that here, because Pusher has got us covered with his flip of “Lean On.” It’s everything you love from the original with just enough of Pusher’s touch to give the track a heavier trap feel without sacrificing any of the chill vibe.
