Featured, House | James Egbert – Back To New (The Two Friends Remix)
Posted by Mach on February 22, 2013
The Two Friends strike again! This is their remix of “Back To New” and mix for the Insomniac’s Discovery Project, the winner is lucky enough to get to play at Beyond Wonderland in Southern California. Both the remix and the mix are incredible. I find myself imagining a massive Beyond Wonderland crowd all jumping and dancing to The Two Friends’ “Back To New” remix. It is a massive track, playing it any softer than max volume just doesn’t do it justice. Their mix is where it all counts though when it comes to winning the competition. If The Two Friends win, this mix reflects how great their set would be.

Electro-House | Midnight Conspiracy – Satellite
Posted by Mach on February 22, 2013
Ah, what a pleasant surprise from Midnight Conspiracy. I was a little curious to what route they would take with this Electro-House follow up of “Sentinel.” Midnight Conspiracy has been more than generous with the bass on this track, including my favorite well executed sound, the laser. The harpsichord sends chills down my spine, as if I just walked into a hauntingly epic rave.
House | Parker Ighile – So Beautiful (Pleather Remix)
Posted by Mach on February 21, 2013
This remix makes me feel like I am partying in the Caribbean on spring break in the 80s. The synth progression is incredible, I really love the work Pleather did with this remix. The vocals are edited nicely, giving them that soothing House feel. Kick back and enjoy.
Techno, Trance | Oscillator Z – Perpetually Finite
Posted by Mach on February 19, 2013
Oscillator Z has definitely been the topic of the past couple weeks. He has been releasing one great free track after another. This time he hits us with a Trance/Techno twist. The melody of this track is ever-sweet and matches the robotic vibe that the vocals send out.
Dubstep, Electro-House, Preview | Skrillex – Puppy
Posted by Mach on February 18, 2013
Well it seems that Skrillex may have an album coming this Summer. It is about time he started to make releases from his massive vault of tracks. The video is a commercial for G-Star Denim, which features the first known single that may or may not be a part of the album. “The Art of RAW,” (clearly a play on words of the book, “The Art of War”), is described by Skrillex as a blend of Electro-House, Dubstep, and fidget. An interesting blend for sure, I am happy that I actually enjoy this clip. The “Bangarang EP” was boring in my opinion, it baffles me that Skrillex managed to pull a Grammy from the title single. A creatively wild track such as this only leaves me wondering if an album would be all that we have been hoping for over the past 2 years. At this point it’s hard to say, and just as Skrillex has stated LPs in the past, this Summer could end up another disappointment. I’m sure there is just a lot of confusion between his upcoming Dog Blood releases and his new project with Diplo and A-Trak.
Edit: Well, it turns out that the track is not called “The Art of Raw” but is in fact named “Puppy”.
Electro | The Presets – Fail Epic (Owl Vision Remix)
Posted by Mach on February 17, 2013
Owl Vision delivers another hot Electro remix. It is cool to see how the track progresses into heavier Electro as it goes on. The long smooth intro is a nice touch for making good use of the vocals. Too bad this wasn’t out on friday because it would have been my track of the weekend.
Dubstep | Tristam & Braken – Flight
Posted by Mach on February 15, 2013
This is one of the best Dubstep tracks out right now. After giving everyone the biggest tease of a clip earlier this week, we can finally dip our ears into the amazing melody of this track. Tristam & Braken turned out to be a dynamic duo with this. In a way I hope that no one remixes this, it is just too good to waste bad remixes on. To be honest, I have no idea who Braken is and I cannot for the life of me find his Facebook. Monstercat doesnt even refer to Braken. Who ever he is, I want to know. Big ups to both Tristam and Braken for this incredible track.
