At this point I’ll pretty much take any opportunity to post a Yves track. His house productions are driven by African-influenced vocals that seem to be matched by very few artists, especially nowadays. More producers should be digging into their archives and flipping tracks like these; I may not remember the last guy who remixed Black and Yellow, but I will certainly remember Rivaz from this banger. If you liked my Paradise post from earlier in the week (see: here), you’ll undoubtedly dig this track.

DJ Skee is a people pleaser (similar to SweetE?). His remix of “Black & Yellow” celebrates the clash between Wiz’s love for the Steelers and Lil’ Waynes passion for the Packers. Although remixes of “Black & Yellow” have gotten old, this one has something for everyone. If you end up partying with friends today, add this track to your playlist.

Rather than remixing a track by flowing over a top 40 beat (like Black and Yellow, for example), Brenton Duvall does the opposite by creating a beat and using big time vocals to fill in the gaps. Here’s his latest track which totally flips an Ellie Goulding sample. What are your thoughts, is this better than Mean Planes and Taylor Gangs? We just published Brenton’s affiliated artist page so if you’re digging this track, check out more here.
