Electro-House | Bingo Players – Buzzcut

The Bingo Players have become synonymous with quality. Leading the way for their label, Hysteria Recordings, their singles from “Rattle” to “Out Of My Mind” have remained mainstays of DJ sets all across the spectrum. “Buzzcut” departs from their signature synth that has made their sound so unique and a cut above the pack, going for a grinding low end, with a punchy, hardstyle influenced, alternating bass line and teasing, pitched builds. Is this their strongest effort to date? I would have to say no, since it seems to merge towards the trends in dance music, instead of remaining unique, but it is still a good addition to the Bingo Players discography. Oh, and also if you want there is a video of Melanie Iglesias getting a glove show in almost no clothing with “Buzzcut” as the soundtrack, if you want to watch, up to you.

Normally I don’t even bother to watch these videos or even given them the slightest thought because they are all the same. It is some DJ saying just “how excited” he is to be playing at X club in Vegas, as they pay him some exhorbinant amount of money to schmooze with VIPs wasting thousands on bottle service. Deadmau5 will be making 850,000 dollars per show at Hakkasan over the next 2 years if you want an idea of the money being thrown around. However, Above & Beyond, never one to follow the trend, come up with an innovative and incredible video, taking James Bond influences and apply it to their promo video for their short residency at the Wynn and their various clubs. I get it. Less than two weeks after the release of his debut EP, Vision, Feature Cuts is back with a remix of Empire Of The Sun’s new single “Alive”. Keeping the amazing vocals and upbeat synths of the original and accelerating it while adding a catchy bassline, Feature Cuts creates a track that you can either chill and vibe to or party and groove to. The track is more of an experimental track from Feature Cuts as he states that he “definitely experimented with a bunch of technical aspects of processing and sound design when I approached this project” and from the sound of it he succeeded on all counts. Progressive House | United Stormwatch (Stereoshock Official Edit)

In an era where house mashups are quite possibly the worst thing to ever exist, it’s a good thing there are artists such as Stereoshock willing to raise the bar. Stereoshock’s edits, unlike most mashups, combines multiples tracks together in a cohesive way that makes it seem as one individual song. His latest edit does just that. He takes two songs and merges them so flawlessly that you cannot tell you are listening to two different tracks. “United Stormwatch” consists of Swanky Tunes & Hard Rock Sofa’s “United” as well as the Dinka and Chris Reece mix of “Stormwatch”. Watch out because big things are happening for Stereoshock including him signing to NUE Agency and his mom commenting on his Soundcloud about how much she loves his music.

Australian Cover Girls Mim and Liv, aka Nervo, fresh off of the release of their single with Omarion “Army“, release their latest track “Hold On“, a high energy vocal single sure to elevate their sets. The rise to stardom for the Nervo twins has been well documented, starting by writing songs for big pop stars and even some of the biggest EDM artists, to now as established rising stars with strings of huge releases over the past few years, propelling them onto MainStages all across the globe and making them one of the hottest (literally) duos around. Henrix, still riding high on the success of one of the tracks of the year thus far, “Hit It” is not sitting on his laurels, as we saw with his Miami Heaters Vol 2 EP, and it now getting set to release another 3 track EP, this time on Laidback Luke’s Mixmash Records. One of the guys who has been there since the beginning, Laidback Luke reaps the benefits by signing “Rock This Dream”, which has been near the top of the DMC Buzz Chart for quite some time now, as well as the second Henrix & Jakob Liedholm collab “Losing My Mind” and a new original “Viral”. The EP is going to be massive and if superman Laidback Luke is waking up with “Rock This Dream” in his head, you know it is going to be huge. April 8th is the date to mark for the release.
