Videos | Joseph SoMo & Cody Tarpley- The Morning (Cover)

Posted by on March 20, 2012

Hometown heroes, Joseph Somo and Cody Tarpley are back with a new video, covering The Weeknd’s “The Morning” off his palatial “House of Balloons” project that reached critical acclaim just a few months ago. Joseph and Cody are no strangers to critical acclaim themselves, as their “Drake Medley” cover is about to go Youtube platinum. Directed by Jeremy Brookover, the minimalist visuals allow Joseph’s vocals to be the protagonist in the story he makes all his own. If you like what you hear, catch Joseph performing live at Smitty’s Bar and Grill on April 6th in Denison, Tx. Show starts at 10:00. Get the details here.

Mashups | DOSVEC – Somebody I Used To Know in Paris

Since the start of the Gotye remix competition, I thought I was tired of hearing more, but I gave DOSVEC the benefit of the doubt. DOSVEC always surprises me, even though I should be use to it by now. His mind works in such a mysterious way that his mashups are always the perfect fit of instrumentals and vocals. I have sported my hate of Guetta on FNT many times, but I wont lie, I really enjoy ‘Paris’ with these vocals. As always, DOSVEC made sure to accompany this dope new mash with some sweet visuals.

Mashups, Videos | DOSVEC – Fresh Leone

Posted by on February 21, 2012

DOSVEC has been on a mission to bust out as many videos as he can to match all his fans favorites of his. Sierra Leone is one of the most legendary dubstep tracks to ever hit man kinds ears, and the hook from Fresh I Stay really kicks. Usually DOSVEC’s goal for a mashup is to provide vocals everyone knows and loves, then put them over a bomb beat that most may not know. This gem is a great combination and now we have great visuals to match.

Pop | Spree Wilson- Sharpshooter

What genre is this? With 2012 the lines of hip hop, funk, pop and, well, everything have become a blurred vision of hella dope groundbreakers. Spree Wilson’s video and song are like if 1967 Funkadelic had a baby with 2008 pop who then met and fell in love with the opening visuals of a James Bond movie.
