Dubstep | Koan Sound – Akira (Habstrakt Remix)
Posted by Sev on August 7, 2012
Habstrakt coming through today with this outstanding remix to Koan Sound’s Akira. He has had this track finished for a while now, but I guess a combination of not having any release plans and lack of use in his sets led to him giving it away for free. Taking the heavy, bass-filled original and giving it that 8-bit Circus Records spin on it with a touch of heavy Habstrakt. It is usually a hit or miss with this style of dubstep, and this one is a hit.
Progressive House | JJAMZ – Heartbeat (Gazzo Remix)
Posted by Mach on July 31, 2012
First, a big congrats to Gazzo for just being signed to the BlackBook Music Group. He has come a long way since his days of Cloud9, and I’m sure things will only get brighter for the guy. This is Gazzo’s official remix of JJAMZ’ “Heartbeat.” This turned out to be an amazing House remix, the beat Gazzo provided sounds incredible with the Piano he provided. His use of the vocals has proved to be prodigious and inspiring, leaving us with this incredible work for us to enjoy.
Dubstep | xKore — Stabs EP
Posted by Sev on July 30, 2012
The heavy hitting xKore’s newest EP “Stabs” was released on Inspected today. Most well known for his powerful, vicious growl sounds and laser synths, this is has just the right combination and amout of both. Although most people were waiting to hear the new bass bumping tracks he had produced; I think it was his melodic masterpiece Empty Space that won me over on the EP. The heavy hitting tracks like Boom and Stabs are still amazing tracks, but Empty Space stood out to me the most and won me over immediately. Being able to accommodate both sides of the spectrum is a big aspect in my eyes as far as the well roundedness of a producer is concerned and this isn’t the first time xKore has exhibited that aspect. All in all xKore shows us no obstacle is to tough for him to tackle when producing multiple genres. He can either destroy your face with bass or melt you heart out with his amazing melodies, sounds and great use of accompanied vocals. Don’t sleep on this one of a kind EP and grab it off Beatport HERE.
Moombahton, Trap | Adventure Club Ft Krewella – Rise & Fall (D!RTY AUD!O Remix)
Posted by Sev on July 26, 2012
Just when you thought you had heard all the remixes to Adventure Club’s track featuring Krewella, Rise & Fall, D!RTY AUD!O comes through again with something completely different from the rest. We have heard Krewella’s heavy dubstep remix. We have heard AT DAWN WE RAGE’s fantastic dubstep remix. Now D!RTY AUD!O has rolled through with a one of a kind moombahton-to-trap remix that definitely stands out from the rest. This track has done moombahton justice in my opinion, contributing a completely stylish and original drop that blows my mind every single time I listen to it. The build and progression of the track are top notch and the use of the vocals is excellent. I hate to say this over and over again, but I see great things to come for D!RTY AUD!O in the near future.

Dubstep, Electro-House, Review | Zeds Dead & Omar LinX – The Living Dead EP
Posted by Mach on July 25, 2012
Redbull posted up a preview only premiere yesterday on their site for this insane EP and the feed back has been immense. Zeds Dead has again teamed up with Toronto’s master lyricist Omar LinX to dish out another knockout blow to our eardrums. If what we have been hearing from these three isn’t enough proof that they should become an official trio, I don’t know what is.
“Crank” kicks off this EP with Zeds Dead’s notorious bass-crunch. Omar LinX opens up the track by putting the mic on its knees, the spitting coming from him alone. Zeds Dead takes the rest from there finishing strong, but just getting started. The next track, “Take A Chance,” is another crunchy Dubstep track. Again Omar LinX was a key factor in its perfection, while Zeds Dead created the feel Omar cooked. With great things also come disappointments here and there, that being said this EPs only disappointment in my mind was the EP’s title track, “The Living Dead.” The idea of the track is cool, but hearing it in action you can tell it is lacking in any form of excitement. Though the title track was not anything special, the last track of the EP is undoubtedly one of Zeds Dead’s and Omar LinX’s best works. Omar does his thing, expressing his emotional flow flawlessly over the calmed beats of the track. Zeds Dead gives us a drop style we are not use to hearing from them, as if we are supposed to be Crunkstepping in the lights of Swag. With the one exception in this EP, it is still an amazing compilation from Zeds Dead & Omar LinX.

Electro-House | Teen Wolf – Fukt (Krftkds Fake I.D Remix)
Posted by Mach on June 29, 2012
This is the best track to get you amped up for the weekend. This has crazy rave party written all over it, Krftkds let all hell break lose on this remix of “Fukt.” DJs add this to your sets, this will be one the best tracks you could drop on the dance floor this Summer. I don’t condone alcohol and drug use…but turn this track up loud and party hard.
Dubstep | Exilica – Gone

If I had to make a call based on this track, it would be that with the notice of Killagraham’s upcoming track ‘Arise,’ other artists have been inspired by his use of rap artist’s vocal sampling. That of course is just an assumption on my part. Excilica did an incredible job incorporating Tyga’s vocals on this track. The intro is lovely, Progressive Dubstep I can call this with a smile on my face. Though only 2:45 long, this track is an orgasm to the ears. A job well done by Exilica.
