Electronic | Mysterious Producer Toulouse creates an insanely original remix of Kanye West’s “Wolves”
Posted by VMan on August 25, 2015
A couple days ago my friend sent me a SoundCloud link for this producer I have never heard of — Toulouse. Immediately after listening to his remix of Kanye West’s “Wolves,” I knew this was something special. After doing some digging , the only tidbit of information I could find out about the enigmatic producer/artist is that is place of origin is none other than Nigeria. The remix is accompanied by an equally visceral music video which I have linked below, but be warned, the video is quite the visual trip. If this remix is any indication of what is to come from the Nigerian producer, count me in as someone eagerly anticipating his next release.

House | Nicky Romero, Nilson & John Christian – Still The Same Man

Nicky Romero takes a big 180 with this production (in a good way) and goes to his pre-Toulouse sound, before the revolution he started with massive presets to tracks like “Camorra” and adds a groove we have not heard in quite some time in his tracks. Nicky Romero gets funky with fellow Dutchman Nilson & John Christian on “Still The Same Man” with this modern reinterpretation of the 2006 track “Same Man” from Till West & DJ Delicious. In his debut on Toolroom Records, Nicky Romero shows his versatility as producer with the strong tech and disco influences of the original, adding deft key play to this 2013 rendition of “Still The Same Man” that is sure to invigorate any dance floor.

DJ-Set, Events, House | Inox Festival Toulouse Sets
Posted by Middy on May 12, 2012
Starting off the festival season early and right, Inox Festival in Toulouse France brings together some of the best talent in EDM, bringing in fans from not just all over France but also all over Europe such as Spain, Italy, and Romania. It was a three night weekend festival at full capacity all three nights with the likes of Eric Prydz, Hardwell, Dada Life, Laidback Luke, Swanky Tunes and many more gracing the decks. There was something for everyone with techno, house and minimal being very well represented with Sven Vath, Stephan Bodzin and many more. Of the three nights Eric Prydz had to be the best set just because it is so rare to see him as an American, though he will be touring the states this summer on ID Fest, Swanky Tunes putting together an outstanding set from start to finish with brand new tracks, and Dada Life and Sebastien Benett bringing the highest energy sets, forcing me to walk home at 8am covered in vodka and champagne after Dada Life. The whole thing was madness and after the whole festival I felt like I had been hit by an 18 wheeler for about 2 days, but it was worth it with the amazing artists that graced the decks. Sets were recorded on Fun Radio, so the shouts will be in French, but enjoy these crazy sets. Some of the sets below and more of them and the tracklists after the jump. Eric Prydz set was not recorded.
Events, Review | Toulouse in Toulouse: Nicky Romero at Opium Club

Whenever an artist names a song after a city and they play a show in said city, it is a special show for both the people in attendance and the artist. Nicky Romero has really exploded into 2012 with the December release of his track “Toulouse” and Thursday night was his first visit to the city that has helped sparked his fame. Though he was sipping on some Perrier with a straw (bawse) he still knew how to party, throwing winks at random chicks dancing on the bar, high fiving fans, and raging in the Dj booth. He played a well thought out, calculated set from the first to the last song with a few unreleased track, including the first ever play of his remix of the Zedd produced Eva Simons – I Don’t Even Like You (short video below, notice the ass slapping motion, the song is that filthy). Rest of the recap after the jump.
Electro-House | Nicky Romero – Toulouse

Nicky Romero has released his much anticipated single “Toulouse” today, which will be an anthem of mine for the spring. This has an interesting synthy build with a heavy, grungy, electro breakdown.
