Trance | Cosmic Gate, meHilove, Dinka, & EDU

Since listening to meHilove’s Ukraine Mix months ago, I’ve been obsessed with progressive trance and have been eagerly awaiting the release of meHilove’s hit track ‘Daylight’ featured below. You are not about to be disappointed with these progressive trance jewels. Earlier today, as I walked in the rain navigating through space, all I could think of was how dream-like these sounds were.

You won’t find too many songs with vocals on my playlist. I don’t fancy having to make sense of voices during my leisure time. I’d much rather throw on some progressive trance that helps me escape from my perceived reality – that transports me into another dimension. It is in this alternate realm that these sounds remind me that there is nothing worth remembering. One has to feel the sound as opposed to trying to understand it.

These tracks will always remain timeless in my collection and really show me the difference between the songs I like versus those I love. Maybe our love for music is subconsciously trying to tell us the significance of sound beyond our wildest dreams – maybe it keeps the universe from flying apart. Certainly it’s a passion we all share, like a heartbeat.

Sorry for the late post, but there were some technical difficulties earlier today. So who’s ready for another week of their Moombah Monday fix? This week I have a little more Moombahcore than I would have wanted, but how can I turn down a good song. Either way all of these tracks deserve their spot on this post and should all be given a chance.

These first two tracks I couldn’t get a download for, but were too good to be kept hidden.

Progressive House | Laidback Luke & Sander Van Doorn – Who’s Wearing The Cap

Posted by on November 22, 2011

These two giants teamed up and produced a unique progressive house track that was released earlier today. When listening to this track you can notice the two artist’s style incorporated into the track. The beginning starts off with that trademark Sander Van Doorn, almost trance-feel, intro. Then when the drop comes in you get a little slap of Laidback Luke’s house style. This track is a combination of the best of both worlds and I’m not complaining.

Electro-House, Progressive House | Steve Forte Rio & Lindsey Ray – Slumber (Tommy Trash Remix)

Posted by on November 21, 2011

Continuing the trend of huge releases today, as previewed by W8, Tiesto’s label Musical Freedom presents this massive Tommy Trash remix of the classic “Slumber”. It is not as heavy as we are used to hearing from the fast rising Aussie DJ, but it still packs a powerful punch with a bass and synth driven break and shows he can vary his sound. The vocals from Lindsey Ray are a perfect compliment to the instrumental. Get this on Beatport HERE.

Here is a Tommy Trash single he released earlier this month that I never really gave a proper listen and I like it more each time I listen. Get this on Beatport HERE.

Progressive House | David Guetta ft. Sia – Titanium Remixes (Incl. Alesso, Gregori Klosman, Nickey Romero, Arno Cost)

Posted by on November 21, 2011

The much anticipated remix package for David Guetta’s hit single “Titanium” has been released today almost suddenly to get on the bandwagon of monster releases today. With such highly reputed names like Alesso, Gregori Klosman and Nicky Romero getting on this remix package, this definitely has to be one of the best remix releases this year. Choosing the best one is very difficult between in my opinion, Arno Cost who delivers an outstanding remix, Gregori Klosman with a great smooth synth laden build and a growling break and Alesso’s masterful rendition of this song. Nicky Romero’s is quite good as well with a heavier break. Sia’s voice works perfectly for this remarkable remix package. Take a listen for yourself and let us know which one you think is the best in the comments. Also be on the look out for a Cazzette remix of “Titanium” in the future. Get them all on Beatport HERE.

The much anticipated single from Michael Calfan has finally surfaced today with a nice touch added to it by Axwell, the man who premiered “Resurrection” on the Swedish House Mafia Essential Selection. With its amazing piano lead, guitar riffs, and bass driven drop, this is a must have from Axtone Records.
