A combination of a warm organic guitar rhythm holstered by a timeless vocal melody, Starley has created nothing short of beautiful with her latest release, “Call On Me.” Using a harmonious percussive aspect to lead into the chorus while maintaining a funky sense of euphoria at the drop, this track gives listeners an oxymoron of feelings from tranquility to the urge to get up and dance. It is very reassuring to stumble across fresh talent, and Starley falls nothing short of that.

Progressive House | Sweda Brighten’s The Day With This Delicious Remix

I very rarely put up mainstage anthems outside the Trance genre but today I got a taste of some uplifting vibes that took me on a major feel-trip. Sweda’s remix to the enchanting ‘Till The Sun Burns Out’ captures and lifts you high, with vocals so addictive you can’t help but keep the repeat button permanently pressed. He’s completely flipped the original – if you’re fans of groups like Lost Kings then you’ll fall in love with this timeless classic.
Trance | Porter Robinson – Seas of Voices (Falcon Remix)
Posted by JT on December 3, 2014
Trance warrior rejoice, because Falcon just brought forward what I deem as the best remix of “Sea of Voices” for 2014. The original was game-changing in itself and yet, Falcon found a way to integrate his artful epic progressions and created a timeless mainstage anthem. It’s already received ASOT support from the legendary Armin Van Buuren and Future Sound of Egypt head honcho’s Aly & Fila, so expect this tune to dominate the airwaves at a trance event near you. Falcon doesn’t take away from the underlying melody but adds his own touch of uplifting synths, carrying you away and communicating in trance a certainty of purpose. I truly have fallen in love this one.
House | A-Trak ft. Andrew Wyatt – Push
Posted by BIGLIFE on November 17, 2014
It’s so hard to make a festival friendly banger without losing credibility. The line between cliche and timeless is extremely thin. (How Galantis does this is beyond me, but I digress.) Somehow, A-Trak has found a way to balance the two, creating “Push” featuring Andrew Wyatt of Miike Snow fame. The result is truly unforgettable, as “Push” has the potential to break through not only in a dance space full of predictable anthems, but also on American radio as well. A-Trak. Andrew Wyatt. Fire flames.

House | Eric Prydz – Pryda 028
Posted by Middy on August 5, 2014
Eric Prydz is my favorite producer, so I am biased when it comes to reviewing his material, but when he releases 4 new tracks at once, the dance world stops and listens. It isn’t just because other producers cry at how impeccable his mixdowns are, or his genius samples, but because of how innovative, fresh and timeless each track is. This 4 track is no different with addictive vocal bits throughout, notably on “Mija” and “Origins” with a nice balance of dark, brooding bass lines, not too far away from a Cirez D production and the cheery, fluttering arps and synths Pryda is so well known for.
Unfortunately for him, Porter decided to release the stream for “Worlds” yesterday, which took over the internet spotlight from this. If any of you are heading to MSG on 9/27, I hope to see you there. Let’s pray that the Pryda album gets released this year….
