I met Grand Pavilion last year while staying at a hostel in Prague. The two-member, uber-talented group hails from Brisbane, Australia. I spent some time looking into the band and their live setup blew me away. Shades of Robert Delong. Here is the single from their debut EP released last year. I reconnected with the band and plan to start following them more closely as they have another EP coming out very soon. I am super stoked about the upcoming release because the group was traveling around Europe last year recording audio samples everywhere from the Black Forest to the crowded streets of Paris.

House | EDX Unveils His Latest X-Booty, “I Found U in Uruguay”

While most artists prefer to split up their time touring and working on music in the studio, EDX always seems ready to do both. Even in the midst of his “Want You” North American tour, the veteran producer has managed to find time to deliver his latest effort, an X-Booty of his remix of “Uruguay,” dubbed, “I Found U in Uruguay.” An expert fusion of Axwell’s “I Found You,” with his chart-dominating remix of “Uruguay,” “I Found U in Uruguay” maintains the house backbone of EDX’s remix, while the track is further elevated by the soulful vocals of Max’C. The Swiss-based DJ has been playing this bootleg out on his NoXcuses podcast recently, but it’s finally seeing the light of day, and you can snag the free download here.

If you have found yourself here, welcome. Keeping his distance from the interwebs he returns, demonstrating he’s clearly been putting in studio time. This remix to ‘Born Free’ is different but that’s ok – it’s dark and that seems somewhat appropriate given Stalking Gia’s profile. The star is given a make-over and Reuben is quite the artist. Here’s a taste of what’s to come from the den.

Progressive House | Steve James’ Remix Of The Chainsmokers Will “Let You Go” Right Into Festival Season

The summer season is here, and it has yet another anthem candidate on its hands. This time it comes from Pittsburgh, from a young man by the name of Steve James. You may have heard of him; his ZHU “Faded” remix has amassed over a million plays, his Ellie Goulding “Beating Heart” remix has been played on Tiësto’s Club Life, and his free downloads have spread like wild fire. His new gem is a remix for The Chainsmokers’, “Let You Go.”

The original was by no means a slouch, but this young producer has imparted some of his youth upon the track, making for a notably livelier vibe. Really we wouldn’t doubt if this thing starts making the rounds on festival stages and summer mixes around the world. It doesn’t hurt that it’s a freebie. Grab it below, and as always support it with some heart action on Hype Machine!

We rarely get to hear new work from Swedish producer Otto Knows, but every time we do, it’s worth the wait. His newest track “Next To Me” proves that point perfectly. An awesome vocal track by Simon Strömstedt can be heard throughout the song which has a nice feel good melody that slowly builds up with strings until it drops into a dance track that is impossible to ignore. This is going to be one of the songs that is remixed and sampled a lot by various artists this festival season. Give this track a listen and if you like it follow the buy link below to pick it up.
