Electronic | Reece Lemonius Shares New Single “Feeling Nothing” Ahead of New EP
Posted by VMan on June 15, 2022
Reece Lemonius is a rising artist based in London, who creates Pop and R&b infused electronic music that is as catchy as it gets. “Feeling Nothing” is the title track off of his new EP that has a vibe of Sam Smith and Disclosure’s “Latch” due to his lush vocal and the feel-good house production. Check out a quote from Reece Lemonius on the track below and stream “Feeling Nothing” above now!
“Lyrically, the song discusses the feeling of being stuck in a routine and desperately looking for some sense of feeling. It’s the theme for longing for something to bring liveliness to an otherwise dull and numbing daily grind.”
Albums | Melodic Techno Artist Burko Unveils His Vocals In “Here Before”
Posted by VMan on February 4, 2022
Burko has taken over the SoCal scene by storm with his uniquely dark-yet-melodic style of house and techno. Today, he releases “Here Before” debuting his own sweet falsetto on the track.
Burko tells us: “When I wrote “Here Before” I was in my last bit of grad school, and had a lot of pressure from family to go into a more traditional line of work after graduation. I knew I needed to push myself and the Burko project harder if I was going to move into music full time after graduating, so I decided to do something with this song I had never done before, sing on my own track. Putting nerves aside of letting my singing voice be heard, I wrote these vocals around the theme of “staying the course.” The lyric in the song, “Don’t lose sight of why we’re here” is a reminder to myself not to lose sight of the dream of making music and touring after graduation, instead of a more traditional route. And the title, “Here Before,” refers to the place in my mind I sometimes end up at, when fear of the future sets in and I have to remind myself to stay the course.”
Beginning his production journey only a few years ago, Burko’s music has been picked up and played by many established DJ’s including Kyle Watson, Steve Darko, Wongo, Londonbridge and SNBRN. Key early support from heavy weights allowed for Burko to sail to the forefront of California’s burgeoning underground scene in a very short order. In 2021, Burko headlined the iconic Spin Nightclub, Bang Bang and played the Grand Artique Stage at Insomniac’s Beyond Wonderland Festival.
2022 sees Burko rolling out his debut EP, titled Infrared — a 4-track tour de force highlighting the producer’s unequaled style of “Medieval House” music.
House | MalLabel and Eko Zu Team Up For Powerful House Original “Let Me Fall”
Posted by VMan on November 17, 2016
MalLabel is a San Fransico based level showcasing several new releases per week, the latest being an Eko Zu release, entitled “Let Me Fall” paired with a music video, which you can find above. The music video is more of a visual accompaniment than a full-on story, but the vibe fit. The feel is trippy and enjoyable regardless, fitting the vibe of the original.
Eko Zu impresses me with their style and branding, they are a trio, with a dark theme and some members wearing mysterious masks. Not your typical solo DJ here.
“Let Me Fall” is hard not to enjoy, the beat sets a nice tone that’s easy to get into, while the vocal takes the experience to the next level.
Chill | Egzod, Sinego, & Adara Team Up, Forming Spiritual Chill House Journey “Free”
Posted by VMan on October 12, 2016
Adara is a name that rings a bell, but Egzod and Sinego are two artists relatively new to the scene – now clearly making their mark. The trio of talent have teamed up with Miami Beats, a label who has worked with The Him, Steve Void, and is responsible for millions of plays being delivered to the releases they’ve handled. This time, the release is “Free”, a chill house / deep house hybrid that features tribal, cinematic, and spiritual elements within. Adara’s vocals take the experience to an unique and unforgettable realm, complimenting the theme of the tune with silky smooth excellence.
Adara has worked with artists such as Mitis, Kicks N Licks, K Theory and more, Egzod reached #1 on HypeM with his previous release, and Sinego has a chill-pop vibe that I haven’t quite heard from other up-and-coming artists. “Free” is an awesome fit all-around.
Trap | RYDEN ft. Chase Allen’s “Dear God” Will Make You Want To Fix America
Posted by VMan on October 4, 2016
I’ve never felt a song fill me with a passion to go do something about the injustices in America, but RYDEN and Chase Allen’s “Dear God” speaks for a generations of brokenness, packaged together with a dark rap/trap feel that a has an almost gothic-like vibe sprinkled within. Most songs have a fiction story or theme embedded within, this tune speaks complete truth. Giving it more authenticity than most.
This is the first time RYDEN and Chase Allen have popped up on my radar, but I’m sure it won’t be the last. It seems this is a rebirth of sorts for RYDEN, stoked to see whats next. Listen to the track in full here.
Chill | MADILLAC’s “Guardian’s Dub” Is A Creative Change of Pace
Posted by VMan on July 29, 2016
The only aesthetic that could make this track better is if some reggae vocals were stacked on top. MADILLAC’s “Guardian’s Dub” is chill and centers itself around real instrumentals, a strong flow that makes the overall experience pleasant, and sweet vocal melody samples that string the theme together.
Whats next with this producer is unclear, he hasn’t dropped music in 3 months but I wish he would. If this dude created a network of house producers who dig and supported each others music, focused more on finishing and releasing tracks, and was a bit more personable on social media, I could see this dude going far.
