Ambient, Chill, RnB | The GTW – Calling Cards
Posted by admin on July 16, 2014
Genres are dumb. Especially when it comes to a talent such as The GTW. Nigerian-born, and Chicago-bred, The GTW pulls influences from enumerable locations in to his music. A voice tender enough to put you to sleep, yet intriguing enough to keep you begging for, more fills the pockets of the contemporary production it’s put on top of.
The African-elements to the music are evident, each different addition to the soundscape warm and comforting. I could ramble endlessly trying to decipher what The GTW’s sound is exactly, but it’s probably best for you to take a look at the video above.

Deep House, Exclusive | FNT Premiere: Ashea – Whatcha Thinkin’ (Deepmilo Remix)
Posted by Middy on July 14, 2014

The first thing that will stick out to you in this tune are the vocals. Insanely catchy, Ashea has developed a poppy sound that does not sound manufactured like many of her female peers. Working with that, London based producer, Deepmilo strips the tune back of much of its pop sensibilities for a deeper, groovier tune fit for the summer. We have the premiere right here for ya, so stream this one until it is released.
Hip-Hop | Kembe X – Attention Deficit Disorder
Posted by dshaq on July 11, 2014
It has been a minute since I’ve heard some new Kembe X, which makes me a SadBoy. Low key my favorite up and comer from Chicago, Kembe has finally released some new music to hold us over for a little while. Attention Deficit Disorder features a scary slowed down instrumental, along with Kembe’s flow they flow effortlessly together and sound real nice and clean. Hopefully this means more and more Kembe, which means more posts for you lucky people. Check back and enjoy.
Indie | The Blancos – Say Goodnight

The Blancos just hit me up with their latest release “Say Goodnight” and every time they send me new music, it gets better and better! This latest tune is so raw in its sound that it’ll give you the chills, on some classic blues/rock record that drops late night at a near empty Nashville, TN bar, if you’re catching my drift. Still on the come-up, but very much making waves in the music scene, I would follow these guys closely if I were you, I think their sound is going to catch on, and it’s going to catch on quick, so get with it. This is a must listen and a must download!

House | Foster The People – Best Friend (Sava & Razz Remix)

Sava & Razz have been posted on here before under Doubletap & Apollo, and although they recently changed their name, they haven’t changed their sound, and this latest remix of Foster The People’s “Best Friend” is super dope. The progressive house sound lays real nicely on these vocals, with an electro-house drop that’s perfect for the DJs, and I can’t help but anticipate this remix being spun at the clubs, once this single hits Top 40, as it should. This is a great song, and once again a remix sheds light on a great tune! This is a must listen and a must download!

Dubstep | Gemini – Fire Inside (Said The Sky Remix)
Posted by BP on June 24, 2014

Today seems like a dubstep sort of Tuesday doesn’t it? Also, today marks Said the Sky’s FNT debut with his remix of “Fire Inside” by Gemini. I love the original track, so I was hoping this remix wouldn’t destroy it. Said The Sky absolutely blew me away with this melodic flip of Gemini’s emotional original. It’s clear that this level of composition took some serious thought and precision. Said The Sky, aka Trever Christensen, from Denver, describes his sound as “dubstep infused with soaring melodies and heart wrenching harmonies. A sound from the clouds.” Couldn’t agree more.
