House | Route 94 – My Love f. Jess Glynne (Young Bombs Remix)
Posted by BIGLIFE on October 25, 2014
Route 94’s “My Love” was a smash for a reason. It captured that nostalgic 90’s deep house sensibility that’s a current trend in the space. I’m surprised I would like this because up-and-comers always try to remix popular songs (which is a mistake) and improve on the original, which is extremely difficult. Young Bombs have remixed “My Love” was incredible results It even caught the attention of Oliver Helden’s latest “Heldeep Radio 21” which is no small feat. This is a serious tune. Pick it up below.
Dubstep | Wonder Wonder – Shark (Illenium Remix)
Posted by BP on October 24, 2014
Immediately after hearing this track, I knew it had to be written up. I’ve been in a bit of a writing drought, and this track sparked my inspiration back up. That’s got to be saying something! Illenium, from Denver, brings us this dubstep remix of “Shark” by Wonder Wonder today. I thoroughly enjoy the vocals from the original track, and the new twist from Illenium. It’s definitely melodic dubstep and clearly shows experience in production. I would go as far as to call this “chillstep” – but with a little bit clearer structure to the song. The drops are smooth and the lead will be stuck in your head all day! Download it for free below!

FYI | Did DJ Serafin Jack Mednas and CID’s Collaboration?
Posted by BIGLIFE on October 23, 2014
It all started with a tweet. LIV Miami resident Mednas tweeted earlier today that he had discovered an unnamed DJ slash producer slash charlatan had stolen his intellectual property. Not just any intellectual property. It happened to be his “iLL Behavior” collaboration with super-producer CID who’s NY based. In fact, it was claimed by Mednas the DJ in question even had the track name changed when you “Shazamed” the record. We came across the story and couldn’t help but do some digging.
Here’s what we found: The DJ’s name is DJ Serafin, real name Jeremy Jimenez. He’s an LA based “producer” who’s signed to Peak Hour Music. He apparently has a few dates booked and seems to have a semi-legitimate Facebook and Twitter presence. Seems to check out. Not so fast. It only took a little searching in iTunes (and Amazon) and Spotify to find the real zinger.
Hip-Hop, Rap | Scolla – Play It Cool (ft. Skewby)
Posted by admin on October 7, 2014
Feel-good rap is too hard to come by nowadays. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not mad at any stripclub anthems that have been put out in 2014, however, with the recent release of Kendrick Lamar’s “i”, it seems as if positive vibes and less-booty shaking might be returning to hip-hop.
Here to add to that movement is Scolla with his new Skewby assisted track, “Play It Cool”. The song displays Scolla’s infectious melodies as well as the raw rapping ability of both him and Memphis native, Skewby.

Chill | DIVERSA – Please Don’t Hurt Yourself
Posted by BP on October 6, 2014
It’s not often that I’ll post a song that came out over two days ago, but this one is worth it. “Please Don’t Hurt Yourself” by Diversa under the collective Hegemon is stunning. The emotional intensity of this song is obvious, and beautifully demonstrated. I have a soft spot for songs with well written, unique piano sections, and this track has them throughout. Chords ring over rocking synths and gentle percussion and take away the listener’s mind. Grab it for free!

Electro-House | Charity Strike – Yankee
Posted by Middy on October 5, 2014
When I first saw the name I thought it would be a tribute song to the man, the myth, the legend, Derek Jeter, but the LA based duo let me down on that point. They redeemed themselves with the actual content of the tune that brings together an interesting mix of blues and rock with gritty electro bursts. Stream the tune below and expect more from the Hardwell remix competition winners, turned official remixers and original production signees.

Albums | Tate Tucker – M.O.E.
Posted by admin on September 26, 2014
Hailing from Los Angeles, Tate Tucker is the agile rapper that first got his shine off of a 5 minute freestyle over the famous “93 ’til” instrumental.
He’s come a long way since his high school rap days, and just last week dropped a stunning new video for his song titled, “Money Over Everything”.
Tate is a talented rapper and backed with the forward thinking production of Garrett Lodge, “M.O.E.” is really the full package.
