I’m a week behind on this track, but damn, spike up your coffee and get ignorant with Party Favor’s “Touch,” a track off his 30k EP, which he will release once he reaches 30k fans on Facebook (get to liking!). Also in the works for Mr Favor is a remix of “Booyah” by Showtek released under Spinnin Records. Blast this record, anticipate your favorite DJ spinning this, and all of the girls twerking to this, cause it goes hard. I might even include this one in my baby making playlist. This is a must listen!

Exclusive, Featured, Interviews | Showtek Talk The “Art” Of DJing, Terrible Shows, Basketball And More [FNT Exclusive]

showtek

In conjunction with our presenting their Showtek Essentials a few weeks back, we have an interview with Dutch masters, Sjoerd and Wouter Janssen, known to you as Showtek. Their move from Hardstyle to Showtek-styled electro house in the past few has been well chronicled, starting with productions alongside Tiësto and Marcel Woods, like “Maximal Crazy” and then really breaking out with their own collabs and originals like “Hell Yeah”, “How We Do”, “Cannonball” and most recently “Booyah“. I would argue that besides W&W, only Maarten Vorwerk (unwittingly, the most famous ghost producer out there) has helped sculpt the festival-oriented dance music landscape as much as Showtek. They do not waste a single production, and live bring that energy to you every night.

During our interview we cover everything DJing, which they say “Their mum could do it”, their productions, past and future, bad shows, their love for basketball and much more. Head past the break to get to know the Janssen brothers a little better and stream the remixes for “Booyah” while you read.

Showtek Essentials Vol 8

It’s Friday, its the weekend, that means it is time to cut loose. Who better than to get loose with than the outrageous brothers Sjoerd and Wouter Janssen, better known to you all as Showtek. Techno, turned hardstyle turn electro house behemoths, the duo’s impact on dance music cannot be understated. While Maarten Vorwerk helped introduce the hardstyle kick to mainstream dance music with “Epic”, Showtek made it popular with their own brand of hardstyle infused electro house. We are proud to present the 8th episode of their weekly mix series “Showtek Essentials” that is not just Showtek music, but also what they have been playing out and the music they really love at the moment. It in includes everything from Disclosure to an exclusive Showtek club of “Countdown” from Hardwell & MAJK. Full tracklist after the jump and an interview coming soon with the brothers.

Events | The Worst Lineup Conflicts At Electric Zoo – And How To Handle Them

Waiting for festival schedules to drop is always a funny thing. On the one hand, you’re antsy for set times because you want to start planning your weekend. On the other, you know that when the announcement comes it will invariably serve to confirm all your worst fears about lineup conflicts — terrible, unspeakable conflicts which will surely force you to choose between two or more of your favorite artists. Such conflicts have been known to divide friend groups, start arguments, and lead to tears. Okay, we’re being dramatic, but you know you totally feel us. Electric Zoo is no different, so check out what we think are some of the most glaring and painful conflicts of the weekend — and our advice for dealing with them — after the jump.

(Note: one thing we do know is that those who enter Sunday School Grove probably won’t be racing out to hit the mainstage at many junctures during the weekend, so there aren’t too many conflicts to contend with there. Not bad, eh?)

Electro-House | Showtek Feat We Are Loud! & Sonny Wilson – Booyah

Posted by on August 21, 2013

Showtek Feat We Are Loud! & Sonny Wilson - BooyahShowtek are just phenomenal. People think they have just come from nowhere in this electro house game. Well first they were a part of Boys Will Be Boys with Tiesto & Anger Dimmas, and then took on the producing role for Tiesto, which they may or may not have relinquished. Now they are cranking out some of biggest tracks today, and “Booyah” is just the latest. Infusing reggae, rock and dnb into one electro house track, Showtek show once again why they are one step ahead of just about everyone else.

Electro-House, Preview | Showtek Feat. We Are Loud! & Sonny Wilson – Booyah (Preview)

Showtek
Hardstyle ambassadors to the electro scene and the creators of some of the biggest tracks in the recent couple years (including some or many of Tiesto’s), Showtek preview their latest output alongside We Are Loud and Sonny Wilson on vocals. This reggae infused track combines the hard-hitting electro-style (electro house and hardstyle, I may have just been made up right now) sound they have crafted for themselves in the past few years that others have rushed to try and copy, with both some rock and reggae elements in the instrumental and vocals that really give the track its character. As usual, you can expect a well-produced track and something that could creep its way into sets this summer as a change of pace from many of the generic minimal drops being produced now. Release is coming August 19th on Spinnin, so you will have to wait over a month for this.
