Xaphoon Jones, the production genius behind the sensation known as Chiddy Bang (for those of you living under a rock), just released his second solo mixtape. It includes various remixes, and mashups to some old and new songs. Theres a ton of different influences on here, from electro, to dubstep, to hip-hop. You can download the entire mixtape here if you’re really into Xaphoon, but below I posted some of my favorite tracks.

I first heard about Ranidu from one of our Affiliate Artists who just may be planning a smash single with this Sinhalese sensation. Ranidu is the first Sinhalese artist to be played on the venerated Radio1 of the BBC and also the creator of the first Sinhalese single to be played on MTV. Hoodie Allen, the New York based rapper and U-Penn graduate, has graced anxious fans with “Dreams Up,” a new single off his upcoming mix-tape, Leap Year. With lyrics like, “I can dream big, I can dream fast,” Hoodie’s new track demonstrates his classic style with an unconventional and up-beat sound.
I’m sure you’ve heard of Hoodie by now. Pep Rally, the mix-tape he dropped last September, transformed him into an online sensation. With over 17,000 likes on Facebook, Pep Rally had bloggers and fans begging for more.
Sampling Oh Land’s “White Nights,” Hoodie’s “Dreams Up” has, four months later, done it again. Although a release date for Leap Year has yet to be set, Hoodie constantly updates his Facebook with information and will surely let fans know soon.

Britney’s latest single “Hold It Against Me” has been an overnight worldwide sensation, topping iTunes charts in over 16 countries. I am sure it comes as no surprised that budding producers and DJ’s were all chomping at the bit to get after this dubstep-influenced Dr. Luke production.
