Ambient | Brisbane’s Best: Grand Pavilion “Weightless”
Posted by Gandhi on May 28, 2015
I met Grand Pavilion last year while staying at a hostel in Prague. The two-member, uber-talented group hails from Brisbane, Australia. I spent some time looking into the band and their live setup blew me away. Shades of Robert Delong. Here is the single from their debut EP released last year. I reconnected with the band and plan to start following them more closely as they have another EP coming out very soon. I am super stoked about the upcoming release because the group was traveling around Europe last year recording audio samples everywhere from the Black Forest to the crowded streets of Paris.
Deep House | Sean Glass Goes Disco With Remix of Robert Delong’s “Long Way Back”
Posted by Juicebox on March 24, 2015
Disco is a guilty pleasure of many and the resurgence of the genre seems to be making its way back into modern sounds. Sean Glass takes a trip back to a time full of afros and lava lamps when crafting his inaugural track – a remix of Robert Delong’s “Long Way Back.” His disco influence isn’t as saturated as other producers, but he tastefully and intricately integrates it into a deep house backbone to really flaunt his past experience in the musical landscape. See for yourself with the stream above! Watch out for the remix to be released on Glassnote Records on March 31st.
