Electro-House | Alesso – Tear The Roof Up (Moiez Remix)
Posted by Middy on September 29, 2014
Alesso’s “Tear The Roof Up” was one of the most hotly anticipated tunes this summer after being his opening track on and off for close to two years. Now Moiez, who is only picking up steam with his recent releases, goes electro on this one, building his own track around the vocal bit. He keeps some of the original melody, but creates a whole new atmosphere with his own powerful saws that don’t overwhelm with the help of carefully crafted synths. You will be hard pressed to find a better “Tear The Roof Up” remix out right now. As per usual, it is a free download, so make sure you grab this right now!

Progressive House | Avicii – The Nights
Posted by BIGLIFE on September 18, 2014
I hate writing bad reviews, because I’m of the opinion that you should promote what you like and ignore what you don’t. I couldn’t help but review this. Avicii’s “True” album was incredible. It pushed boundaries, and broke the Beatport Top 10 format that we love to rag on. That said, “The Nights” really misses the mark. It sounds like a leftover track that Avicii had laying around off his “True” album that Ash thought he could pitch to FIFA 2015 for some serious cash money. They took the bait. I don’t want to be mean. Avicii looks like a starving Ethiopian child right now, and he’s apparently taking a well deserved rest as he recovers from shooting up his exhaustive tour schedule. However, the song more than falls short. Don’t even make me go into the vocal. Horrendous.
“The Night” is available now via FIFA 15.
House | Matvey Emerson – Over (Keljet Remix)

When you get promos / submissions from an artist over several years, you get to see how they improve their craft. I have found Keljet’s music at times to be a bit repetitive and bland, but this one is a refreshing change of pace for them and your ear drums. It’s groovy, summery and laid back, which is just what the doctor ordered at this time of the year. Grab the tune on Beatport below and check out them out on Facebook for more.

Deep House | Duke Dumont – Won’t Look Back (Shadow Child Remix)

How we missed this, I’ll never know. Building on the success of “Won’t Look Back” Duke Dumont enlists the legendary Shadow Child to put a UK garage spin on this nostalgic 90’s tune due out August 24th on Blase Boys Club. Duke Dumont. Won’t Look Back. Shadow Child. So hot right now. Top tune.

Electro | Arcade Fire – Afterlife (Flume Remix)
Posted by dshaq on August 11, 2014
So if you read my Lolla post, you’d understand that Flume was easily my favorite show at Lolla and probably one of my favorite artists out right now. So to my surprise 10 minutes ago I saw he released a brand new song, with another Dshaq favorite Arcade Fire. This track is crazy, it takes all of your previous knowledge of Flume and throws it out the window. Another slow build up, meets a funky deep house drum kit and he just rides that out for the whole track, tweaking the vocals, which all come together nicely. Even though its 10 minutes, it’s worthwhile. Enjoy.
