So if you are reading this, the elephant from the Jumangee game did not come out and crush you. Good for you, however it means you still have to survive this being played during festival season with possibility of some roided out muscular guy going apeshit next to you and elbowing you into the next century. Problem. The first official release from Wayne & Woods since signing to Size Records, we are starting to see why they were given such a high vote of confidence by label boss Steve Angello. Henrix proves again why his percussive beats are to be reckoned with this festival season. Another track in the long line of “festival drop” tracks, look for this track to both chart well and to be played out often this summer as festival-goers appetitive for these type of tracks seems to be insatiable. Also here is some footage of Henrix from his show at Governor’s Island with Hardwell, Dyro and Audien.

The beat on this is more synthesized than most Matisyahu songs, and we get less of an “instrumental” feel. But with those petty issues away, it’s a great song. Yes you are reading that name correctly, it is not a stutter. Given that each one of these tracks are FIRE, the best one on the “EP” has to be “Freaks and Geeks.” I have to say though I’m really feeling the clap beat and verse on “Lights Turned On.” Donald Glover has AMAZING talent. They say “The sky is the limit,” but I don’t even think the sky can hold him back from reaching for the stars. Watch the video before reading any more of this post. Ok now that you’ve given it the once over did you notice all the subliminal (and blatant) advertising? Brit and co allegedly reeled in about $500k for selling space to the likes of PlentyOfFish and Sony. That amazes me almost as much as the fact that I forgot to publish this post about a week ago… Oh well hopefully some of you have yet to hear this track.
