House, Trap | DJ IDeaL Starts West-Coast Based Dance Radio Show

DJ IDeaL is a man of many hats, the West coast based artist’s entrepreneurial spirit being the driving force behind him forming various companies, one being a streaming platform that partnered with Roku, Apple TV, DirecTV, called EDMtv. The platform featured various video content that caputres what’s currently on the rise. October has proven to be a start to new projects, DJ IDeaL kicking off a new radio show on San Diego’s 94.9FM featuring a multitude of genres. The live broadcast on Halloween was recorded and uploaded to SoundCloud, where the large variety of dance genres can be embraced and experienced as they should.

When not busy touring alongside the likes of Maribou State and Lolawolf, Australian duo Phondupe are in the studio making warped electronica. Comparing their sounds to the likes of Darkside, Aphex Twin and DJ Rashad, the guys have come together to for their own unique entity. Their latest releases come off their The Ecstasy Of series, which sees the pair pushing their boundaries further. “Milton” was first heard on Majestic Casual’s Beats 1 Radio Show and it’s now seeing the light of the streaming world.

Swiss house mogul, EDX, has been a force in dance music for years, but 2015 marks a special time for the powerhouse producer. His remix of Sam Feldt topped the Hype Machine charts earlier this year, and his next remix of Spada’s “Catchfire [Sun Sun Sun]” followed a similar suit. Every week on Sirius XM though, he unleashes an hour of house bliss and this week is no different. Ranging from deep cuts from Stefan Rio to progressive mayhem from Throttle to the a remix from the legendary Steve Angello, we say this a lot but this could quite possibly be his best radio show to date. With the summer sun up high, this mix will be on repeat until next week’s episode airs.

Want in on a little secret that I hardly ever get around to sharing? Easiest way to find some new slappers is to go through a music mix, my favorite being Soulection Radio’s Show they do pretty often featuring new Artist’s and new songs on the regular. I haven’t taken the chance to listen to the whole thing yet but I’ve gotten pretty deep in and this definitely is a great one to start off with.
