The viral video craze that accompanies Baauer’s “Harlem Shake” has hit the stratosphere in the last week as thousands of YouTube users upload their own chaos filled videos to the trap beat. To my surprise, not many opportunistic rappers have jumped on it. I guess it was a perfect fit for PropaneLv and the next installment in his cover series – and he had the LTRMN goons on deck to give his video for it the usual Harlem Shake treatment. PropaneLv drops off his latest original release featuring Pen Stein. “On The Road” is the ballad of an up & comer with a melodic hook complimented by some screwed vocals working nicely for the Portlander. The visual by Martin Van Londen fits well and features great scenery of Portland’s bridges and waterfront. Portland’s PropaneLv and frequent collaborator D.Shuts come together on this mellow and powerful ballad. “Nobody” takes a retrospective glance at the progression of the music hustle with a melodic hook that reiterates just that. Overall, another impressive release from Lv.

PropaneLv gets back on his urban tip with his latest cover of the Ross, Wayne & 2 Chainz assisted French Montana banger “Marble Floors”. A melodic hook, nice bars, and hard beat come together very nicely on this one.

Portland’s own PropaneLv takes a step back from his usual RnB infused tales of heartbreak to spit bars for a few minutes. Hopefully there’s some more where this came from. In the midst of preparing for a hurricane to hit NYC, literally, producer Chi Duly and PropaneLv come together to put a new spin on Heard It Through The Grapevine. The collaboration is a slight departure from Lv’s series of more current pop remakes. Had to take it back on this one:
“Had to do this. It brings back memories of my dad banging on things in the garage, smelling like grease, and grabbing beers from the kitchen. It’s a big hairy american classic and I absolutely love it.”
