Electro-House | Julian Jordan & TV Noise – Oxford

Posted by on May 20, 2012

Julian Jordan at the ripe age of 16 is back again this time with support from the young dutch duo TV Noise. Together they put together “Oxford” that builds with a piano melody and accompanying guitar riffs with a supporting bass line. The song then drops off into a break of punching bass, growling low end synth and piercing, pitched synths. This is a superb production from the young Dutchmen and we will be seeing a lot more from these guys in the future as Sander van Doorn is very high on Julian Jordan and is even collaborating on a track with him. Make sure to check out Julian Jordan’s previous stuff HERE, including a free download.

Also included is a preview for Julian Jordan’s remix of Sander van Doorn’s anthem “Nothing Inside”. While the original takes the cake for me, this remix is a solid take on the track with a good electro drop.

Progressive House | Sander van Doorn & Mayaeni – Nothing Inside

Posted by on May 7, 2012

Sander van Doorn really does not get the credit he really deserves for making consistently some of the best tracks out there. He may get hate for leaving trance behind for progressive house, but he still makes amazing music, so what does it matter what genre it is? “Nothing Inside” is his latest song with blissful vocals from Mayaeni. This emotional track uses a simple guitar riff to carry the melody with supporting synths and a steady bass line and piano and violin with the vocals to build into the euphoric drop. When Sander van Doorn played this at Sensation Belgium, I thought the heavens were opening above me, this song has that affect on you. After the jump check out Sander van Doorn’s Miami after movie featuring “Nothing Inside”.

House | Deadmau5 feat. Chris James – The Veldt

Deadmau5 has released the lead single “The Veldt” from his upcoming The Veldt EP to be released June 25th. With flowing melodies, a steady bass line and blissful piano progressions this is a track that will force a smile onto your face. The Ray Bradbury short story inspired vocals from Chris James, who Deadmau5 found on twitter, pushes this song into the upper echelon of Deadmau5’s illustrious discography.

Hip-Hop, Mixtapes | Chance The Rapper – 10 Day

Posted by on April 24, 2012

Now I’m a little late with this, but this is too good to not post. Chance The Rapper, a fellow Chicago native, delivers a masterful mixtape combining beautiful piano riffs, great rhymes, and clean vocals. Chance has been creating a great buzz not only in Chicago but also across the internet, and this tape is the reason why. I’m blown away by this production, it’s top notch, even sampling one of my favorite indie bands Beirut. This will be on repeat for quite some time, which is perfect with Summer around the corner because there are some great cruisin’ songs on it. This is definitely a MUST DOWNLOAD and look out for more Chance in the near future.

Dubstep | Lana Del Rey – Born To Die (Gemini Remix)

Posted by on April 23, 2012

Another killer remix from Gemini that has hit over 2million views on the UKF Dubstep channel. Nothing short of amazing once again from this bright producer, showcasing his amazing piano melodies and appealing melodic styled dubstep. Surprised this wasn’t part of the official remixes, because it is without a doubt one of the best. Grab this outstanding remix on Beatport HERE.

Hip-Hop | PJ Simas – Family Room

Posted by on April 22, 2012

Finally. If any of you follow PJ on twitter you’ll know that he has been teasing us with this track all day. Family Room starts us with a gorgeous piano riff and is then taken over by some heavy synths and PJ’s heavy style of rapping. The general motif of this song is that PJ is kicking it with his friends, family, and ladies, in his family room, showing that he’s staying humble. Also, if anyone has some funny captions for the above picture, drop them off in the comments section.

Progressive House | Michael Calfan – Mozaik

Posted by on April 16, 2012

Young up and coming French Dj / producer, Michael Calfan most known for his massive production “Resurrection” championed by Axwell and his remix of David Guetta & Nicki Minaj – Turn Me On, is back with a massive single “Mozaik”. I do no think this is another “Resurrection”, but this is still a massive single that has flown under the radar a bit. The track starts with happy piano key work that crescendos into a break of a pulsing bass line, that same piano melody and a layered synth chord progression that creates a uplifting euphoric feeling that will surely put a smile on your face and force you to start dancing. Michael Calfan has been quiet so far this year, but when he makes tracks they are top notch works every single time. Also included is a free remix of SHM’s Greyhound from Cegor that flips the drop into progressive chords creating a different feel with much of the same energy. Buy is just a link to his Facebook page to download there.
