Aussie duo, Those Usual Suspects have been in Dirty South’s crosshairs for some time. They were a part of the 2011 vocal anthem “Walking Alone” with Dirty South, as well as releasing “Burn Forever” late last year on Phazing Records. This time Dirty South adds his own small edit to their track “Blaze”, creating a monster for the summer season with its chunky bass line that is ideal for all venues. It already seen support from the likes of Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso and Alesso, and Dirty South has been playing it out for a couple months now, so expect to hear more of “Blaze” in the coming months. Release is coming soon on Phazing Records.

Dirty South ft Joe Gil - Open Your Heart (Michael Brun Remix)

Dirty South‘s debut album “Speed Of Life” has reigned as one of the best dance music albums of the year thus far, and now it gets its first official remix from Dirty South understudy and Phazing Records signee, Michael Brun. The Haitian producer has caused quite a stir in the past year or two with stunning productions with the likes of Dirty South & Special Features, while having his tracks given the edit treatment by Dirty South & Hardwell.

Though this remix has already been released on iTunes in Australia, it never saw a worldwide release on Beatport or otherwise. Michael Brun takes the second production on the album with Joe Gil and adds extra energy, upping the ante on the melody and bass line. Michael, we are still waiting on that free track that was slated for release on 4/20…. you get sidetracked that day?

Preview, Progressive House | Michael Brun – ID (Preview)

So here I am patently asleep at my desk and a new email comes into my gmail from Michael Brun with the title “New ID with”. I am awake. The above ID is a track he has been playing out with T Swifts vocal on top over the past few months to much appraise and has received many requests for release. The track shows his continued progress as one of the brightest stars in the big room house scene. He is giving very little info about the track right now and Mr. Brun was quite stubborn in keeping it that way, so enjoy the radio edit of this ID that may get named after T Swift or not. If you have not already, check out his upcoming track “Halfway”, featuring Zashanell that is going to be on his 3 track EP on Phazing Records. Also be on the lookout for his remix of “Your Heart” from Dirty South’s “Speed Of Life” album coming really soon.

DO SOMETHING

Progressive House | Those Usual Suspects & Nordean feat. Erik Hecht – Burn Forever EP

Posted by on December 17, 2012

Coming off of his collosal collab, “Rift” with label head Dirty South, Michael Brun returns once more to Phazing Records on remix duties to finish out the year on Aussie trio Those Usual Suspects’ new track with Nordean and vocals from Erik Hecht, “Burn Forever”. The original is a solid progressive track, but Michael Brun steps it up to another level, adding his own melody to the drop and subtle piano chords, bringing out those peaktime hands in the air moments. The superb vocals from Erik Hecht bring the track together as Michael Brun continues to impress in his young and very promising career.

Progressive House | Dirty South & Michael Brun – Rift

Dirty South has really taken the young Haiten producer under his Phazing wing, not only editing his single “Rise“, but also putting him on remix duties for an upcoming Those Usual Suspects track and signing his collab with Special Features, “Synergy“. “Rift” is that next step for the Phazing brethren in what is becoming a long line of absolutely dominant big room tracks from Dirty South and a progressively more impressive discography from Michael Brun. This track is going to be demolishing the Southern Hemisphere festival season and those of you going to Stereosonic in the coming weeks, expect to hear this early and often.

Michael Brun is getting himself ready to make a big splash at the end of this year with some big releases on Phazing Records. Not only has he teamed up with Label boss and chief from down under, Dirty South on their upcoming single “Rift“, but he now has a remix coming out soon of Those Usual Suspects & Nordean with Erik Hecht on vocals (remember them from “Walking Alone”?). It is great to see the Haitian producers’s becoming more mature and evolve as he becomes a bigger player, one with lasting potential in the dance music scene.

Progressive House | Alesso & Dirty South – City Of Dreams

This track is practically flawless. The chemistry between the two of these guys is evident in the quality of the track and in their twitter jests at each other’s sister and mom. The song features Rudy on vocals with Alesso & DIrty taking over with a sublime guitar & piano melody building into a drop with smooth strings, uplifting synth chords, dextrous key play and a determined bass line. I had originally thought that this summer had been devoid of truly great anthems to hang its hat on, but with some of the releases today and recently, I think that has been remedied, with Alesso coming through with two of them on not only “City Of Dreams”, but also “Years“. Dirty South has also announced his “City Of Dreams” tour which will take him all across North America starting this Thursday in Tallahassee and finishing November 24th in LA. Dates and more info after the jump.
