Earlier this week Mod Sun, the hippy of hip-hop, dropped some awesome visuals for his song “Stoner Girl” off the Happy As Fu*k EP! Just today Mod Sun also dropped a new song called “Us” that will be featured on a project called Flood Watch, which showcases the most talented a prominent artists in Minnesota. Mod is someone to keep a close eye on because not only does he makes great, happy, positive music – he’s a genuinely great person on top of it. Fresh off the Vans Warped Tour, the hippy of hip-hop Mod Sun drops a new video in celebration. This was filmed on the road during the tour and captures just how epic it was. Along with him is his right hand man Pat Brown who never fails to add some smooth vocals to the track. For those of you in Minnesota, he has a couple welcome home shows coming up this month. One is taking place on 8/24 that you can purchase tickets to here. The other show will be the following day on 8/25 and you can try and win all access passes from us here. Enjoy!

As promised Mod Sun drops First Take: The Happy As Fu*k Sessions in celebration of reaching #1 on the iTunes hip-hop charts! If you enjoyed the EP then you’ll definitely love this. Everything is recorded on the first take, no redoes.I love acoustic music so the first take versions are definitely my favorite out of all the music Mod creates. His best friend Pat Brown assists him as usual by playing the guitar and singing some of the hooks. He also included a new track called “Supernova” that wasn’t on the EP. This is a must download!

The homie Mod Sun just dropped the official video to the title track off his upcoming EP, Happy As Fu*k! The homie Mod Sun drops the title track off his upcoming EP release Happy As Fuck, which drops June 6th. This track has an upbeat summertime vibe to it, perfrect for drinking vodka or lemonade to in the sunshine or shade. A little over a month ago I posted this Unburstable Bubble album by Gordon Bombay. At the time it was only made up of 3 tracks but now the second chapter has been released, adding 5 new songs. The cool thing about this album is that all proceeds go to Charity Water. The minimum donation to receive the album is only $1, but you can certainly give more. Gordon Bombay is a collective made up of many talented artists such as Mod Sun, Pat Brown, Zachary Garren, JCW, & B Rolla. I really dig this project and I’m glad they continued to add more songs to it. Here is what Gordon Bombay had to say about the project:
In mid December 2011 we entered the studio with one goal in mind, make a RECORD. Not a “hip hop” record, or a “pop” record, just great music.
All proceeds from this project will be donated directly to “Charity Water”. A foundation that builds clean water wells in a country which has none. 800 million people on the planet don’t have access to clean drinking water. Unsafe water & lack of basic sanitation kills more people every year than all forms of violence, including war!

Mod Sun just released the last song off the Gordon Bombay 3 track album, Unburstable Bubble. Gordon Bombay is a group that consists of Mod Sun, Pat Brown, JCW and Zachary Garren. All proceeds of this project go to Charity Water. They’re doing this for a good cause and the minimum donation is only 50 cents so you can’t go wrong!
