Last year, following the release of our number one track of 2012, and his career breaking song, “Language”, Porter Robinson went on a 30 date bus tour across North America with Mat Zo and The M Machine. The 23 minute mini-doc shows how everything came together on the tour, from the artists, to the light guy, to the tour manager and the merch guy. We also see the beginnings of “Easy”, Mat Zo & Porter Robinson’s late-2012 smash single. It is worth watching all the way through and lets you get to know Porter better as a person, showing his story from a family side and managerial side or things, while also getting to know Mat Zo & The M Machine as well, who are prominently featured in this mini-doc.

One of the hardest working Swedes is back with another offering for the first of what should be many in 2013. “Pressure” continues the trend of grungy electro tracks we saw from him towards the tail end of 2012. With a gritty low end, a punchy bass line and a smattering of big room synths throughout, John Dahlback shows once again that even in his many tracks, he is still able to keep them all unique. Do not hesitate to see him out on tour as he makes his way across North America this month.

Yesterday was a huge day for EDM with Kaskade releasing his 7th artist album “Fire and Ice” (review to come soon) and Cosmic Gate the German trance duo releasing their album “Wake Your Mind”. The album is a masterful display of production from start to finish. They are masters of vocal trance with the long vocal builds into a euphoric hands in the air drop that makes you feel like you are at their show. With a good balance of instrumental and stirring vocal tracks with collaborations with other trance heavyweights such as Andrew Bayer and Myron & Shane 54, Cosmic Gate leaves us with a 14 track treat that will leave you hitting repeat.
