After recently releasing a dope song/video collab with Chance The Rapper, Gaines is back and this time he brings along Rhymesayers signee, Toki Wright. This track was originally featured on Gaines most recent project, Night Crawler: Reloaded. The video was filmed and edited by NeoFilmMovement as was his previous release. Minnesota representative, Gaines, teamed up with Chicago native, Chance The Rapper, to deliver us the first single off his Night Crawler: Reloaded mixtape. It was shot and edited by Kevin Ceccon of NeoFilmMovement, who i’ve worked with on most of my “On The Spot” interviews. I’ve got to say this video was beautifully done and an amazing job on his part. A lot of videographers in this game today just shoot videos quickly with no thought process or composition. To top it off they do minimal editing and release the next day, but not this guy. This video has that cinematic look that really grabs the viewers attention. Aside from the video, this song is quality, sampling “We Are The People” by Empire Of The Sun, they speak of life’s realities and overcoming the challenges along the way. Gaines delivers a reloaded version of his latest album, Night Crawler. I’ve been following Gaines for awhile and this album is definitely a step above his previous projects, this time bringing a slew of features including Chance The Rapper, Toki Wright (Rhymesayers), Mod Sun & more.
